Never on that level ^^^ but I've taken my VTX1800 to the strip and ran low 12's and may eventually bring my Concours 1400 there to push mid 10's. They're more for cruising/touring than racing anyways.

I currently have a cbr600rr and it's plenty enough for me on the streets. Don't stunt anymore, no popping wheelies well not on purpose. Had a bad accident where this lady ran a light at this three way intersection. Thought she was stopping and to my surprise she did't even notice the light. Didn't break anything but got pretty banged up. With my new bike I just enjoy riding. Dragging must be fun. My front ends comes up a lot once I go past 8000rpm. With your guys setup I bet there scary fast.Don't even want to think about it. Things start approaching fast at 140+.

I got to ride this bike on Sunday. only went 9.48. But I was just seeing how I felt on the bike. I ended up buying one today.:woot:

Things happen pretty fast, but once you've been doing it for a bit, things slow down in your mind and you can break down the run into several different parts. It's not easy to put together a perfect run. It's definitely not as easy as it looks. There is just as much skill involved as road racing. Just a different discipline.

What is the gearing like? I'm about 200 pounds on a 600. First gear brings me up to about 75-80. Second I forgot but it hauls to about 148. I'm sure launching takes some practice.

Gearing depends on the bike. Most of the roadrace bikes have a tall first gear. For the 14 it'll end up -1 up front and +2 or 3 in the rear. But for now I will leave it short and run stock gearing.

The first 330 ft is key to making quick passes. If you can't launch, it's just another stop light.:D And yes, it takes lots of passes and good bike control to get good. I was making over a 1000 passes a year for about 3 years not long ago. The more you go, the better you'll get. If you don't know what you are doing wrong, ask someone that knows to watch you and give you some tips. Leave the ego at the gate and have fun.

This is the same color/model I just bought. This is a similar set up i'll end up with after extending it. It's amazing the power these things put down. The acceleration is just nuts. Who needs drugs.

I'm not thinking about doing it but give props to you. Have you seen the video where the piston rod blows out of the engine?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOz8Uqq4w6U

Those rpms are ridiculous. Wish you the best of luck, should try to post some videos if you ever get any.

I'm not a big fan of red, but it's growing on me. It's more of a maroon or burgundy IMO. I would have gotten a different color but the one I got has several mods already on it and I got it for a great price.

Never been on a ZRX, but R1's are nice. A bit heavy for my needs. Probably good for you for stability. Those launches look under control. You'd be half way down the track by the time I realized it went green.

lol...leave on the last yellow. If you see the green, you've waited waaaaaay too long. Leave a bit early, you'll see the red instantly.:( Here's a redlight pass...oops.
