I doubt they'll work with your bedrack.

your bike is literally 1” longer at the wheel. it’s fine. i’ve gone down some sketch trails with it to boot with 2x the weight

This extender curves out past the tailgate leaving several inches off tailgate to hold a load. But may not still work for you.

The cheap and easy solution is to get a 2x8x8 and slide it under the ass end once loaded.
Use a small strap to hold the rear wheel to the back end and a few ratcheting eye bolts to your foot pegs.

I loaded my klr in the bed of my short bed Tacoma and drove 2000 miles with it in the bed. I even drive to the top of the Wolf Creek pass lookout with it in the bed. I had 5 ratchet straps on it and the bike did not move an inch. I had no tire chock on the front either.

Shouldn't be an issue. This was rock solid for me.

Could you carry it on the hitch? This is how I haul mine and works out so I can leave my bed cover on.

Can you temporarily bolt in an inverted aluminum channel in the bed that extends past the tailgate that's wide enough to hold the tires in it? You could even put a locking bolt across it to create a rear tie down for the wheel, and put a strap on that down to your hitch for rear support. Mounting it may require drilling the bed, although if you use a long channel piece, the weight of both front and rear wheels on it may help hold it down and support the rear, or you could mount it with a downward facing support piece in the front that bolts into the front tie down rail, that would keep weight on the back from flipping it. Sorry for crappy drawing, only can do finger painting on an iPad right now! :)

As I said above the wheelbase is 1" longer than my 450. wheelbase length isnt the issue here. Sounds like you've bought a bedrack, that isnt going to let you use the bed in a way thats managable. But looking at the leitner its about the same as my old custom one and again, I carried 2 bikes in it. I dont have any pics of bike in but mine like yours had removable load bars.

about an 1" in from the load bars my rack joined the load bar.

just out your bike in like this. With the bars turned your bike will clear the rack. Again, I had a similar set-up and hauled 450/500 and gear off-road and on-road for about a year every weekend.

I just leave the tailgate down whenever I have bikes in the bed. I did get the mobtown reinforcement skin though

Is that worth it? The plastic tailgate part bends in about an inch with my bike strapped down on it.
