    I had never been there before. Definitely lots of routes to explore! That sand is something else though....:eek:

    My new set of doubletake mirrors got here today, my fantasy football commissioner finally paid me for winning last year and this was what I bought with it. They use a ram ball adapter and arms to mount up, then when you're off road you can just fold them in. Hopefully get them on the back tomorrow after work.

    I like their trail mirrors. Not a fan of the ram mount though, seems like youd constantly be adjusting them after pivoting them in

    We'll see how it goes. I'm only in tight stuff one or two times a year, truthfully. Initial impression on holding ability is pretty positive though. I wasn't able to move it with my hand when it was tightened down. I'm guessing over time it'll start to slip some.

    This is the kind of bike I've started saving for. Got back on the saddle after at least a couple decades and now I got the itch for a bike (Besides the fact my aunt is shoving me right along to get one. She's already talking about trading in her Yamaha for a Royal Enfield before throwing down for a 2nd bike, a larger BMW for multi-state trips).
    I want to get my skills up while we're out camping or trail riding locally and then maybe use it for commuting on occasion. Does anyone have any experience with the Honda CRF250 Rally by chance? Or any advice on other options?

    I think I saw one on CycleTrader not long ago and it looked fantastic. I've always drooled over the sound of a Ducati. Maybe someday when my skills are up to par and my berries have grown, I'll own one.

    @HerT4R has something like that..

    I have a Ducati Scrambler Icon. Does not sound like other Ducati's because its a 2 cyclinder air cooled bike.

    I hear ya on the Scrambler sound but it's still a Ducati :drool: I just remember back to someone I knew in CA that had a 750 and it was sweet.

    Nothing quite like the sound of a Ducati dry clutch, you can barely hear this guy's exhaust over the rattle

    I have the yamaha wr250x but they also have the r version with dirt wheels. I really like my bike and the honda. I see a lot of guys runnikg their crf250 in the canyons and seem to enjoy it. Service intervals on both bikes are pretty easy compared to ktm, aprila, husq, and ducatti. I wanted a higher cc supermoto but couldnt deal with the 3k miles valve adjustments.

    As for the kawasaki klx250... im not really a fan. Even though its a 250cc the power feels way less. The plus for the klx is for short riders. The ride seat height is pretty low and comfortable. Plus sprocket gear changes can help with the torque the bike is lacking.
