I miss 1984 also. I was a hell of a lot younger and healed faster back then. Stupid hurts more as you get older!

Excite bike is the jam. I used to love making my own tracks. I regret selling my NES several years back. Had all of the good games (Excite Bike, Mike Tyson's Punch Out, Ninja Turtles, etc); even had the powerpad with the track and field game.

1984 was a good year, I was only around for a couple months of it though...

It’s always funny to find out how old people are on this site. I met a group of guys here from different parts of the state. We all got along and had communicated many times on the forum about various topics. Decided to plan a multi-day trip along the Mojave Road. The day that we meet up, I was the youngest one there by about 20 years. We still chat from time to time and have met up a few times since then. Turns out “my people” are a bunch of old dudes.
I look a hell of a lot younger than I am so I can usually blend in with different age groups.

I was old enough to drink by 1984....legally! Got my first motorcycle that year a 1981 Kawasaki GPZ-750 with a Wiseco 900 big bore kit in it, Yoshimura 4 into 1 exhaust with half the baffle cut off, smoothbore carbs, and a one tooth bigger rear sprocket. Traded a guy I worked with my 1974 Dodge Challenger even up. Challenger needed work and was getting pretty rusty. I had NO business owning that thing as a first bike. Took my m/c driving test on it and the first thing the cop did was stuff a nightstick in the pipe to see if there was any baffle in and was not amused that it passed. LOL. Sadly I never took any pics of that bike but it started a love affair with motorcycles that continues to this day.

I was 36 in '84. Still riding though. Learned on a '38 Indian, went through a few odd bikes then several Harleys. More recently a KTM 990 and now a 690 Enduro R.690 Lemon Res..jpg

I did see a Tahoe today at a body shop the taillights were pulled along with some other things and I did think it was a Land Cruiser at first.
