I'm having fearful flashbacks. Haven't been on one of those since 1991.

This was already sent to me as news spread of my pending Wile E Coyote style death.

I was surprised to find that the rear tires still hold air. I don’t trust them though. The gas tank u for unsteady still had gas in it along with all the rust that you’d imagine would build up in 30 years of sitting.

Mine has been sitting for probably 5 years, time to do some work to it soon, tires still hold air.
In reality good condition except the decals on the back

I need to get back on two wheels, thinking a dual sport so I can stay off these crazy Houston roads. Previous bikes include an SV650, Street Triple R, Sportster, and a Goldwing I never got running.559889_10200486648120037_698746677_n.jpg 10557205_10202616740211008_4407434564863410969_n.jpg 22713636_10209736196152957_4726138367157614348_o.jpg

Rather foggy this am and my visor was a hot mess.

Gonna look into pinlock since the laminate isn’t doing the job

Big fan of my pinlock. The tension on it took a few minutes to figure out to get the right squish all the way around and I think it took me two times to apply it right.

27.5 degrees was the low I saw on my screen on my commute in this morning, it was up to a brisk 39 on the way home.

Picked up this '73 CT earlier this summer, about to pack it away for winter unfortunately. Its slow as hell but a fun little toy to rip around on!

Pin lock is an awesome idea and actually works pretty well. Make sure to thoroughly clean your visor and let it dry completely before putting the pin lock on. Any moisture captured between the layers can make it act funny, distorts the view, if cold enough can ice over between the layers. I install mine when the temps start getting below 40 on a regular basis and will let it in until Spring when it gets warm again. They do have a certain lifespan as the silicone bead on the edges flattens out and stops sealing as well. I've had to replace one on my Shoei Neotec already after only about 3 years of use. I ride year round though and I'm probably a little harder on gear than folks who don't ride as much. They do reduce visibility after dark and in the rain somewhat but the advantages of not fogging in cold weather for me outweigh those issues give

I bought a Shoei RF-1200 to replace my Bell Star from 2010, but I'm not really loving it. The air circulation seems to be lacking and fogs up frequently.

I've always been a little bit of a helmet snob. Shoei, Arai, Bell back in the day when they were higher rated. Had the Shoei RF-900 Pascal Picotte race rep, actually 2 of them as I had to replace one that got stolen. Always been a full face helmet user too. Liked the RF-900 a lot but got a pretty killer deal on an Arai Corsair 5 in a graphic I wanted. That helmet has some of the best venting I've ever worn but the price......wow! Once I started getting into long distance rallies though I switched to a modular helmet. The ability to take a sip from a water bottle or grab a candy bar quick from my tank bag while at a traffic light is so much easier now that I can just flip the front of the helmet up I don't know if I'll ever go back to a straight full face for daily use again. I really like the Shoei Neotech I have now but the Neotech 2 doesn't fit me the same so at some point I'll be shopping again. I did pick up a Schuberth C-3 Pro on closeout from Revzilla and it's not bad. Quieter I think but TIGHT. I believe it might be the hardest helmet to pull over my head I've ever had. Once it's on it's okay and has broken in pretty decent but the opening in the shell itself is really tough to get over my large dome. I think the snug fit around the neck might be part of why it is so quiet.
