Not all Hoggers are snobs. They just get the most attention. I've had the same experience with some Goldwing riders. It happens.

well, put a deposit on it. Can't get out there til 11/17 but they're holding it. STOKED

comfort seat, pilot road 5's, M4 3/4 case and frame sliders. The bar end mirrors need to go but that's nbd.

Going to eventually re-tune with FTECU auto tune and add the autoblipper.

Thanks! I think it's going to be great. I LOVE speed triples. Kinda sad to get rid of my '13 speedy after only having it like 6 months. But we did 4500 miles in that time and I want cruise control, auto blipper, and something a bit... rowdier. The '13 is pretty refined. It lost a bit of that hard edge my '99 has. And there's no real point in having two of them.

I think I'm going to like this bike a lot. It's 2 seconds faster 60-130 which is HUGE. It should also be making about 20 more whp. I'm seeing videos of it doing power wheelies in 3rd. That's the kind of hooligan non-sense I'm after. Plus Japanese reliability/dealer support/ease of ownership.

Dirt bike woulda been cool but I have the banshee. No need for a dirt bike AND a banshee.

Most do not. Best chance is to test ride is during a manufacturer demo day; however, those events may be few and far between thanks to covid. Some private sellers will let you ride with cash in the hand.

I got to test ride my 690. That dealer didnt hesitate. Walked in, looked at it, said i wanted to ride it first. (Castle powersports in nashville)

Dealers here in kc are pricks. KTM dealer is the only one who might let you but ive never asked. Just told them i want to buy my 300 and that was that.
Yamaha has demo days occassionally. Havent seen many for other manufacturers at least near me.

Privately i would if a buyer had cash.
My 300 is plated cuz SD loophole. I dont ever run the tag though, just wanted for trail hopping occassions.

I was going to say give it time. But seems like you have already thought this through! New bike looks like it will be a blast to ride.
