I know exactly where the start of that was filmed, coming out of the tunnel north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Except they got the order wrong, the Marin headlands exit is after the bridge but before the tunnel. The single lane tunnel gets you out to the headlands after you get off the 101.

Been out there many times to hike the headlands!

Nah, plenty of tourists though. Best part about being on a bike is skirting past them when cars can’t.

Super clean FZ750 at the Rockstore on Mullholland. Note the 6-cyclinder KZ1300 in the background.

That FZ looks to be a 1988, sweet machine.

More progress on the CT90 getting ready for the new engine that gets here tuesday. Pulled all the stuff I won’t be reusing, got the new throttle tube/housing and front brake all sorted out. Is it tuesday yet?

^Cool, I’ve got lots of memories with a CT70. Growing up my buddy had one and I had a Kawasaki G5-100. He rode that thing on dirt trails like it was an enduro. Pretty much thrashed it. We were about 12 years old.

Yours looks to be headed for the non factory build route. What motor is going in it? Sorry if you posted this earlier.

No worries, I’m throwing a 140cc semi-auto 4 speed Lifan w/ electric start in it.

The old 1967 engine was pretty tired and I didn’t have much faith it in for more than a few miles at a time. Also topped out at 42mph haha hoping to get 55 or so out of the new engine.

That doesn’t seem that fast for a 140cc motor. Is it geared pretty low? Grom cruises pretty good at 55-60 with the 125cc engine and geared down a tooth up front.

Yeah the plan is to gear it real low, I bought a few sprockets to try, 14t and 17t plus the stock 15t (but I think that's a 420 chain instead of 428) with a 45t rear end. Pullman has some pretty steep hills and I don't want to risk bogging down on those. Figure I'll end up using the 14t to rip around town but try a top speed run w/ the 17t. Wouldn't be surprised to get 60+ with that.
