You crossed my mind the other day. Your starting small and working up, practice, practice, practice.
So on my neighborhood FB page a guy posted about his bike being stolen, or attempted theft.
They pushed it out of its parking spot and down a hill/ road. With the intentions of pop stating it. To their dismay the bike did not run.
So they left it. It is literally 70 yards from where it was parked. But it doesn’t run it is up hill and on a busy road. I tell the guy I can come pick it up with a trailer and take it back to his place.”OK cool”
I get there it is a cbr1000. Load it up get to his house unload it and bullshit a little he got it in trade for some landscaping work.
He. Says I need to get my license. This is my first bike.Do you think it is too big for my first bike. I told him to get a smaller bike or expect to die on his first bike.

Great story and thanks for sharing!

I can’t imagine starting out on something that has that much power and is also unforgiving.
I know that I made mistakes on the 250 that simply taught me a lesson, but if I had made those same mistakes on a 600 or 1000 I would have ended up wrapped around a guardrail.

Got the CB750 out and let her warm up for a while, rode up and down the driveway to get some oil splashed around her insides, got up to temp and put it away.

Then took the little CT90 down to Walmart to get some stuff for the fiance's stocking. I'm also working on a very short video of me riding it around in the snow yesterday. This thing is a freaking blast.

I was probably going up and down the street for half an hour yesterday on the CT90. This thing is too much fun in fresh snow, the small knobs and width are perfect for it. I had a grin plastered on my face the whole time.

Here's a short snippet of it:

Gone through almost an entire tank of fuel in the past 3 days. Not bad for December and just getting over Covid.

30 and snowing on today's commute. Only had 3 butt puckering incidents, all the back end sliding out on patches where it had packed down. 1 on my street, 1 in an intersection (yikes), and 1 pulling into my parking garage.

Then got to work and had to explain to some coworkers why I was still riding my motorcycle in the snow haha screw paying for a parking permit for the truck. 1wd>4wd.. or something like that :anonymous:

No joke I have a tab open looking at TKC 80's haha I feel like the chunkier tread would help. The Dunlop trailmax mission I have on now is great in the dirt and on the road, but one it gets packed the tread does absolutely nothing and it just rides on the center stripe. Now the question is whether it's worth the $158 or not..

I always took the Grom to the grocery store when I had it. Could only carry a day or two worth of food, which was fine. Hate having stuff sitting around. Always worried that someone would throw the little bike in the back of their van or truck while I was inside shopping, and it would be gone by the time I got back outside. I'd be scared shitless to take the Trail 90 to Walmart. Love that thing so much! And technically it belongs to the girlfriend, and she's absolutely frightening when she's angry. I'd be thumbing my way out of town before calling her for a ride home if that bike went missing on my watch.

A guy I follow on IG said his stock Pirelli's lasted 6k. I have 2k now. Planning on getting TKC80s when I need new tires. The Scrambler has an 18" in the front, so Ill have to get the 180/55/17 rear, and a 120/90/18 rear tire as my front tire.. The stock size is 110/80/18. Hopefully I have room, or else Im going to have to take my front fender off/get a dual sport fender :D

    It looks so fat
