Yeah, by the time winter gets started, I'm ready for it to be over!

Rode to work the last couple of days. I can tolerate the morning ride if I know it'll be relatively nice in the afternoon. Of course, it helps that my commute is only 4 miles... lol.

I saw some bikes today. But too cold for me. Plus still extra gravel on the roads

I rode all week here. Bad winds today and snow in the forecast tomorrow, but we will see how it looks in the morning.

Ridden 5 straight days now. Looks okay for tomorrow as I have a half day. Supposed to rain later Friday. My commute is right around 10 miles one way. I was in the 30's this morning, felt nice after that 23 earlier this week.

Nice! It is funny how quickly a temperatures 'warmth' or 'coldness' becomes quite relative, depending on what you were experiencing previously. Last winter was very mild in my area, with the exception of a couple of real cold snaps. After a week or so of low 20's for the high, it bumped into the high 30's and I was ready put on shorts...

Eventually once you get comfortable with your backend moving around on full gravel roads, that extra gravel on paved roads becomes kinda fun :anonymous:

Assuming its the backend that moves and not the front end washing out haha

I was trying to get used to it on the gravel that I found close to my house. I need to look for more, and then the only thing holding me back will be the temps

Saw some gloves from Thrashin Supply go on sale (clearance) that I’ve been eyeballing. Looks like they’re clearing out their gauntlet style gloves (probably didn’t sell well). I’ve never been a fan of gauntlets but I understand their appeal. So when and $80 glove goes on sale for $15, I jumped on it and made some modifications. Cut off the long cuff, rolled the edge and seam. And split the ulnar seam on the glove about 3/4” to make them easier to slip on and off.

I even reused the embossed logo as as internal gusset for the ulnar split and reinforced it with a couple stitches.

Thanks! Now I have touchscreen capability and don’t have to take my gloves off to look up an address.

I realize that sounds like I use my phone on the bike- I don’t.

Nice work modifying them, but those gloves don't offer a lot of protection and will probably fly right off your hands in the event of a crash.
