And your point is? There are some fairly active photo tag games on some of the other forums like ADVRider.com that always give me an excuse to get out and go for a quick scoot when I have free time if the weather is decent and roads are clear plus I commute as much as possible. Last 2.25 miles the road to my work is nice and twisty......

I generally put more miles per year on my bike than my truck.

I filled my bike Thursday after work and had to stop yesterday to refuel. FJR tank is 6.6 gallons, but I still had about a gallon left.

Back around 2008 I had started a new job that was more than twice the distance form my home and that's when gas went up to around $4 a gallon in my area. F-150 got about 13mpg on a good day so I was using about 3-3.5 gallons per day just to go to work. Rode my Yamaha FJ-1100 every day which got about 44mpg. Money I saved on gas I upgraded my rain gear. Guys at work thought I was nuts. Told them "do the math". Every day I took the bike to work it was like getting a dollar an hour raise.

Add to that the fact I've already been told I'm not right in the head because of how I love to ride and it's a no brainer for me. I'll ride ever day the roads are clear and ice free. It's my personal therapy. YMMV.

I've had to move stuff between buildings last week and so far this week so I've taken the truck into work and I haven't gotten my daily bike commute in :( My department has had to help out with COVID testing for students as they come back onto campus and it's really cramping my motorcycle riding haha I have tomorrow off and I'm really hoping I can get out for at least 50 miles.

Ill ride as much as I can when its warm. Its therapy to me too, but Im not going to commute. I live 3 miles from work, so the bike I can use for pleasure.

Pssh. It’s just fast enough to dangle a carrot behind it to lead the zombies away.

Well, I finally got scheduled for the MSF rider course to get my license. Trying to get legal before the new CRF300L Rally lands at dealers. Was also able to get a little practice with some family. My son got to practice on the cheapo Apollo 18 I got for him so he could learn the clutch, I rode my cousins' WR250R while he and my aunt rode their BMWs(both have the 1200GS).
Edit: this is my Aunt's. My cousin's had red fairings.

Snow in the forecast made me decide to bring my truck to work this morning. I brought my broken front fairing stay along so I can get our welder to repair it for me to keep on hand as a spare.

Got out for a just under 2 hour ride, almost 80 miles, average temp was probably 37 degrees haha.

Wool socks, long johns, fleece lined pants, undershirt, long sleeve t, light sweatshirt, fleece “omniheat” lined winter coat, fleece neck gaiter, and summer gloves in my hippo hands. Only problem areas were my ankles (sambas were a bad choice) and a small part on my neck where the gaiter slid down.

Went down a big ol hill (and later back up, which is much more fun):

To get to the river, rode along until I got to the locks and dam, took a picture, and headed back out to the highway:

Passed a stater going the opposite direction as I was going probably too fast around a sharp corner, got nervous he was going to follow me, so I pulled over to check out this orange tree:

Then went to my favorite hill, not that great of a view in the winter but during the summer and fall the colors are unreal:

Then scooted on home for lunch.

    Awesome!

I got the little Ninja fired up this afternoon, got into all my thermal gear, and went out for a scoot!

42 degrees but it was sunny, and I was having too much fun to notice the cold.

    The Ninja is a champ!

I'm gonna try to get out for a quick ride this weekend, work has been rough lately and some moto therapy would help relax the stress
