I have the harbor freight one :anonymous:

It works for the CT90 at 170 lbs, and I think it says 500 or 600lbs on it, but I wouldn't trust over 250lbs.

I've used 2 hitch carriers and my drz400 was rocking abit...quality ones might have a tighter receiver fitment? Mine had some decent left to right rocking movement which made me cringe a bit while driving but did the job. it just wobbled more than I like with a piggy bike on it. under the 500lb load rating but was worried more with cheap welds breaking than bike falling off which would cause that.

Exactly my worries too. The two parts that make me nervous on the HF one are the loose-ness in the receiver and where the rack attaches to the tube coming out of the receiver. I don't trust the rotational forces that a heavy bike could put on it to not snap it off. It does have some clamps on the outside that you tighten onto your hitch that help with the rocking and loose-ness to some degree, but it still has some play.

Perfect for a ct90, scooter, trials bike, maybe a 125, but not a full size bike until you start shelling it out for a higher end one. IMHO.

Also, let's not forget that for $20 a day or something stupid cheap, you can rent one of the amazing u-haul bike carriers. I'm probably going to rent one for a few days this summer to take the CB750 and F800 to my parents house so I can go for a ride with my Dad before he gets too old to do it.

I like your style! A Grom would compliment that Miata nicely.

You need a motocompo for the trunk instead of a grom, IMHO. Wrong manufacturer, but still seems fitting

    you mean a monkey?

Side note, I saw a KTM duke 200 today when I was messing around at another dealer looking at gear I don't need. Looked like a full size bike next to the grom. Never even heard of it before. It was next to a dualsport like a DRZ so looked small next to that. Kinda neat though.

Funny, I was looking at those a few months back. The duke 200s look like a blast for around town for how cheap they are.

No, I mean a honda motocompo. They were made as a trunk bike for corollas. The bars and seat fold in and it packs down into a little rectangle.

Shit too many beers. Honda didn’t even make the fucking corolla :anonymous: I’ll go hide in my internet shame hole for the rest of the night.

Mighty Car Mods did a fun motocompo episode a year or two ago if anyone’s curious.

You snuck in a reply before I could reply to w.adventures lol. I've heard of the motocompo but forgot what it was. I think moog from mighty car mods bought some car that it literally was made to fit in the trunk of. Wild. But definitely my style. Let's look up dimensions and see if it'll fit in a NC miata trunk
