    Gaudy.

Good thing you're not riding it then, lol. If he likes it that's what counts.
And if he decides that he doesn't like it, some WD-40 and time is all he'll need to fix it. :notsure:

Pulling off stickers suck! Took me forever to get all the other ones I had on there off.

Couldn't find my original thread on this so here goes. I had asked about feedback on a Ducati Monster 696 a while back and got hammered for it on here. Anyway, the exchanges were fun. So I'm happy to report that after further research and some test drives, Ive eaten a plate full of crow and just paid for this:

    2014 Suzuki SFV650 Gladius

Had been at the dealership the whole time and paid $6800. They were asking $7400. It'll be delivered after the 4th of July as the next few weeks are a bit hectic for me.

    Can't wait to ride it.

    Thanks for the suggestions! :D

Make sure you wash with soap and water afterwards...that stuff does have just enough acid to it to eat clear and paint

You could've just sent me your plastics and bought someblack acerbis plastics to wrap

I've never had it eat any paint and I've used it countless times.

Mine are all scratched to hell you wouldn't have wanted them

Why'd you get hammered for it? I like the Monster 696. It's a fun bike to ride.

    That's a sharp Suzuki!

Cuz it was European and not Japanese, it'll be in for repair a lot, not as good as others...that's what's coming to mind right now.

The 696 in our stable runs like a clock. The other European bike in our stable runs like a clock as well. I do need to do a full service on the Triumph soon though

I have no doubt....I was initially set on the Monster, but after researching a few others and riding a few, I went with the Suzuki. The deal was quite good. Had a Honda CBR600 in the past, but Honda doesn't have a bike of this type in the lineup.

So when i re installed the shock i didn't put any preload on, come to find out you need to add at least an inch of preload to clear the intake tube. Im learning and saving a lot of money doing this my self but the bruises and cuts beg to differ. Although the parents pool did feel perfect after i got everything buttoned up. Test ride tomorrow morning to see how that spring works

A little late now but mine is preloaded about half inch based on the stock spring length
