I bought my Nomar tire changer last summer around July 4th. They had some promo/sale going on that finally convinced me it would be worth it. With 3 bikes and plenty of friends that ride when i weighed the costs of having someone else do my tires, the travel to and from a shop, the fact that most shops near me won't remount a used tire made me pull the trigger. With Covid and severely limited travel last year it's only been used once but I still feel it's worth having. I have a pair of tires coming soon for my Buell and a pair of Pirelli Angel GTs sitting ready to go on the FJR. Neighbor called and asked if we could mount tires for his HD soon.

I think the last time I actually paid regular price I carried in the wheel with old tire still on, bought the replacement tire form the shop and their"discounted" price to mount and balance the new tire was like $40. My Nomar set up delivered was around $500 I think but I added some stuff to the order. I figure at 40-50 per tire within a dozen tires I've paid for it. Only did 2 so far but there's also the satisfaction of doing your own work and knowing you did stuff right which adds value for me. Extra benefit is if i do a few for other folks and charge say $20/tire it's not that hard to do. Friend of mine has same equipment which is what lead me to purchase mine. He asks for 2 x 6-packs per tire and drinks Guinness. This keeps his beer supply stocked up and we'd usually make a tech day out of it working on other stuff in addition to tires.

I bought this HJC modular unit from a local bike shop. The built in sun visor is a game changer. It is not the best insulated helmet but it is fairly comfortable.

That is steep. My local Honda dealer mounts and balances tires for $36 per wheel. I change my own dirt bike tires, but usually let them do my street bikes. Drop them off in the AM, check out the bikes on the showroom floor, eat a bite, and then pick them up. Worth every penny.

New tires are on and I took it for a scoot. Knobby tires are the stupidest thing for these things, I forgot how much fun it was to rip around on smooth tires. Older hillbilly riding a Chinese knockoff ruckus split lanes at a stoplight to say hey. He had it stretched with a wide rear tire and the loudest exhaust ever. He was a mad man on that thing.

Looks good! Is that the Vagabond tail tidy and rack? I had Shinko SR428 dual sports on mine. They worked really well on the gravel road I live down. I'll plan to do the same or go with Kenda K761's if I track down another Grom.

It’s the vagabond knockoff from Amazon. Need to get a harbor freight pelican knockoff case to attach to it. Had a milk crate but it was way too big for the tiny bike.

Replaced my beat USB/voltmeter combo on the drz with a new one, and also installed the quad lock my wife gave me for my bday on the spare iphone7 I had. Will be nice to have a dedicated offline nav setup now.
