Nice! Have you had it very long? Might want to look at doing a valve clearance check if it hasn't been done yet... or just wait until 20,000 like I did! :D

It stalled. I'm starting to look into getting a 1997-2004 jeep wrangler instead. I had one back in high school (15+ years ago) and have the itch to get another.

    this got me looking..
.. nothing near me to suggest.

Then I started looking at Sportsters. Then went to HD website, and they dont make them anymore  Only Iron 883, Iron 1200, and the 48. So back to craigslist I went. Still available in the used market. Dual sporting is fun, but not many places near me. And who says I cant put dual sport tires on a Harley.

Things I learned from Philly trip: windshields are nice, need a comfy seat, need a decent sized tank.. @FreshOldTaco still had fun in our wild variety group, and he was scraping pegs every turn..

I did a search locally for "sv" and got nothing.. they are pretty rare.

Honestly I dont know what my next bike will be. Still owe 10k on the Scrambler. Once I get that lower, then I can realistically start thinking about the next one. For now its just dreams and thin air haha

No debt life is the way to go. Good call they’ve been around for a while now, can likely find one used. Paying off the one you have will open more doors in the long run than owning more!

Not for that price haha that has like $1500 hipster tax added onto it. Plus, let's be honest, fiance would probably call off the engagement if I brought home another project vehicle.

That $1500 might turn out to be a great investment in that case.

I think that thing is too cool for hipsters. Theyre more interested in cafe racers or e-bikes anyways

I think someone used it as a stunt bike back in the early 2000s, then it just sat in a garage. I bought it in 2020 and it had only 13k miles.

I will look into checking the valves, thanks!

If you are up to tackling it on your own, I found these two videos to be super helpful and probably watched them 5-6 times before deciding to try it:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ri-xJBufe8&t=166s

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46_KWJXTJis

I waited until 20k because so many riders had posted that when they checked at the recommended mileage, everything was perfect. My luck? All but 3 valves were significantly tighter than spec...

    This write-up was a good cross-reference: https://moto.lexp.net/wiki/Valve_Adjustment_for_Honda_CBR600F4i,_Not_for_the_Novice
