You missed the part where you trade them back in before it expires too. :spending:

I know one guy who just bought one of the new Honda ADV150 scooters on August 3 of this year. Odo pic on FB this morning shows 7103.0 miles already.

    A bunch..and no build thread!
Being on Long Island (South Shore Suffolk County here) I am sure you've seen the mobs on their bikes and ATV's stunting all over the place. I don't mind them, just don't slam into me at a stop light..lol. I always give a wave if they are apprehensive about passing me when I am on my Harley and I have pulled into a parking lot where they were congregating to look at some of the bikes. Not my thing, but I don't really mind it.

There is a roadside memorial around the block from me where a guy got taken out while stunting. I believe he was in his 30's and had a kid. Wheelie gone bad and into traffic from what I heard, but not sure.

there have been a lot of tragic deaths on motorcycles, cars turn left into bikes all the time here on the island

the illegal street riding of quads and dirtbikes is a sketchy scene without a doubt, there are a bunch of talented riders but there are even more reckless riders who dont have enough seat time to be out on the street riding around

I just feel that its a part of motorcycle riding that is growing and with some structure I think it has potential for a growing market

there are a few good podcasts where the older generation of this bike life stuff digs deep into it, that really helps explain and try to move the thing forward in a positive way, some of the older guys are now even renting out race tracks and hosting bike life wheelie days

I'm an MSF instructor at Big Apple (at Suffolk Harley) and have had some of these guys come through my school.

As for the accidents, I see it all the time. I ride with a large "group" and have had people run into a pack of us on the highway. Not a good scene. When we ride with 60 or 70 bikes, it's always a crap shoot with how the public (traffic) reacts to seeing us. I could only imagine it is even more complicated with people stunting.

I think it would be awesome if they took the strip at Calverton and converted it to a motorsports park.

Yeah who knows when the speedo was really added. Years after I bought my GSXR I found out the dash was swapped at some point, I flipped it over and there was a sticker on the back noting what bike it originally came from.

Looks clean otherwise though. The 650R is kick start only right? Judging by pics he's a also selling a CR250R

I get my helmets from here. Give them a call, tell them you’re on adventure rider, you’ll get a steep discount. I got both a shoei hornet x2 and an rf1400, both ended up being about $150 off retail. Fast shipping, excellent return policy…I’ll never buy another helmet anywhere else.
