Doesn't that law that says if they can prove that the part caused the issue, then the warranty is voided, apply? Like on trucks?

I bought the extended warranty on my FZ, and im pretty sure it's still valid. Also got a tire warranty, which I've used several times

Bike loans are way too high to begin with. I didn't even let Honda financial make an offer to me. Went straight through USAA. Still a pretty high interest rate, but I'm still not paying much interest.

I was stupid and thought i wouldn't be able to afford modding the bike.

They talked me into it. What i didn't realize was that was the cost of my exhaust, jet kit, and air filter (plus several other things) that i was basically just giving them for nothing.

I called the dealership a few months later and they told me i could take it up with suzuki but there would be a fee for the warranty cancelation, that i wouldn't get all my money back, that it would take a long time to get anything back, and since it was past the 30days after the sail, they would likely just tell me to pound sand.

I bought the full warranty that even came with road side assistance. I read in the booklet that any modifications deemed "extensive" could be chosen as reason to void the warranty.

Me cutting the harness up likely voided that. Then cutting a giant hole in the air box likely sealed the deal. Not to mention tearing the carb off and rebuilding it, adding an air filter and a full stainless exhaust.....

Well. The only thing that sucks about having 0% is that it pays me nothing to send them more than the minimum payment. The only thing i gain is no longer having a payment once i reach the payoff. The payoff is the same whether i pay it off tomorrow or three years from now.

Technically, i cut the light side of the harness, so a new oem tail light and turn signals would fix that. But thats not the point. All the other shit had to have sealed the deal....

Understandable. Every now and then I throw some extra money at it. Hopefully I get it paid off in less than a year.

I have never sent the minimum. Always 10-25% more.

Its my incentive for the next chapter. Whether that be drift missile or another bike, or both :anonymous:

And what year model is yours? ;)
Yeah, I wish I would have paid it off when I had the chance instead of buying a bunch of furniture that the wife said we needed, but oh well.

Haha you call it early, I call it an investment. She'll be making more than I do fairly soon, then it's my turn! :D

    Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

    https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/15/2302

Basically if something is modified and it's determined that part is directly related to a failure, the warranty is void. Also if you fail to maintain something that breaks it can also void the warranty.
