Dirtbikes once or twice trying to impress a cute girl (then made a fool of myself cuz her sponsored brother handed me his race 450 and just let me whiskey throttle myself into the dirt)

But I ride mountain bikes enough to understand the slow speed counterbalance and drag the rear brake, press same side, and stay off the front brake in the corners, etc.

Best friend is a paramedic and dustoff flight medic and am going out with a nurse that's a friend of his nurse GF...so I got that going for me at the very least if things go pear shaped.

He knows to thermite my computer if it all goes bad, and we have a mutual agreement to show up to each others funeral dressed in a Grim Reaper costume when the day comes.

Check out the Canyon Chasers YT channel, if you haven't already. Lots of good riding tips for new riders. :bikewheelie2:

So I got these with my soft panniers, and I want to make a recommendation. They are a pretty good idea. And they are a little pain to install, but that just means that they wont come off. And in addition, they are secured at the top with a "lock" or grip to further ensure that they dont come off. They work by sliding between your molle attachment points on your accessory and pannier bag

    They get my vote!

    I don’t like Yammie.

Fort Nine is entertaining. As is Dandanthefireman and MCRider

I don’t remember seeing that post, did you mention what bags you went with?

hmm, maybe I didnt post a picture. I got the Tusk Pilot soft bags with bottle holders. They are 35L each bag, come with dry bags, and have molle attachment points on the rear. They offer them without the bottle holders as well.

They seem to be very nice quality. Lots of straps and places to attach, reflective material, and good value IMO, at $220 shipped with the bottle holders. They don't seem to make my bike much wider than what it was. I haven't been on a long ride yet, just around town, and I haven't loaded them up either. Working on getting lighter weight stuff dedicated for the bike.

Going to try to get a longer ride in this weekend. @4x4Runner and @Doc Samson welcome to join. Heading west
