He gets LITERAL preach-y. Occasionally has some good videos though, I've watched him some.

On today's episode of "help a noob", I'm looking for riding jackets to round out the new rider wardrobe. I'm leaning to ultra hi-viz since I trust the drivers in my old hood of downtown LA more than those of Utah from what I've seen. On that note, I've got my eye on the Icon Hooligan. Full D3O and super bright. Any yeas/nays on it or recommendations of similar textile jackets?

Hi-viz and orange, you will not be missed!

I like Icon helmets and Alpinestars gear. But I really just kept one jacket through each bike. I guess hi-viz matches alot. Black might get hot too, dont forget about that. I dont have any experience with that jacket though.

I'm a big fan of D3O compared to some other impact protection. That's a pretty good price to come with a full suite of d3o including back protector. Breathability might not be the best, I'm not seeing a ton of vents, but for like 60-80degrees I bet it won't be bad. Colder than that and you can layer underneath, warmer you can leave the top unzipped some. Worth a shot, IMHO.

    That's the idea :D

Yeah, black is a no-go in Utah between April and October. Esp for me since I run on the hot side just sitting still.

Yeah, D3O has saved my bacon a few times for MTB. Even if its not a great set of D3O it at least gets me something until I can find a better set.

No sir. Need to have on road performance. I don't have a dirt bike. And they don't have my rear size. Need a 150-70-18
