That thing is rad, looks like tons of fun! Love that green color too. And it's cheaper than the cheapest full suspension mtb you could buy! I want one now

It's been a blast. Like, I just want to giggle everytime I'm scooting around on it.

Seems like street price is closer to $2300-2400 OTD if you search around for a deal but a lot of dealers are throwing huge markups on them and asking 3,000+. Highest I've seen a dealer ask so far is $4,800 which is absurd.

I bought this before using the grunge brush.

I like the grunge brush better. Didn't really like the idea of letting the wheel spin in first with the Tirox on, and doing it manually is just even more of a chore.

I just run mine up to the sprocket and then spin the rear wheel while spraying the chain with kerosene. Pretty painless way but a bit messy.

I used to be religious about scrubbing my chains. After several years I found that heavy spritzing with kero for a few rotations, a good wipe down, and then some heavy weight gear oil keeps the chain as clean as it needs to be and hasn't affected it's life in any way that I can tell. Kinda like with firearms, keeping it well lubed is the key!

I bought a CB300R last summer as well. I agree, it is a super fun little bike. Scratches the itch I was left with after selling my Grom. Same kind of fun to ride feel.

What tail tidy do you have on yours?

And of course it's happened and documented on the internet lol

There's an old thread (w/pics) on one of the motorcycle forums where a dude was cleaning his chain with a rag while the bike was in gear. Rag got pulled into the sprocket and he lost a couple finger tips

Oof. Maybe i'll reconsider my method haha.

I feel like i'm pretty safe with how I do it, my fingers never get near the chain/sprocket, only the brush and the nozzle tip for the lube spray. But no point adding any risk to such a simple maintenance item if I don't need to.

A guy from work has one of their adventure bikes. Pretty decent for the price he paid. I’d say fit and finish is slightly above the price point and he hasn’t reported any issues with it. He is a new rider though so he doesn’t have much to compare it to.

I was cleaning my chain one evening a couple summers ago, rolling the wheel while I held a rag around it to wipe off the kerosene and left over grime. My youngest daughter pulled into the driveway, wasn't expecting her, lost my concentration for a split second and my thumb got pulled just barely in between the chain and sprocket. It was a nice "crush" injury that hurt soooo bad I couldn't believe it. Liberal icing kept the swelling down but, man, scared the hell out of me and, as I've learned multiple times since riding, it's a very, very fine line between "I'm good!" and "I've messed up beyond my wildest dreams!"

Anyone got a good recommendation on a dirt bike chest protector thingy? Preferably one that can fit a flag for the dunes?

Yeah, it's a CVT transmission, so just twist and go. Super fun just bopping around town. I keep catching myself trying to shift though haha.

I may have broken my aluminum grunge brush letting it run in first :anonymous: I have a rekluse on, so in first clutch out at idle it just kind of purrs along, not full 1st gear speed, just the speed the clutch discs drag at. I got real lucky, no damage to the bike or me. Not doing that again.
