Another nice surprise today and I came home to a letter from the next town over PD that they had my title, registration and KEY!!! I was able to run up there and pick them up before they closed and actually get the bike out of my trailer, haha.

Looks like it has 500 more miles on it than it did last week but still starts right up and no other issues I can see.

I mean yeah, I didn't have any kind of emotional attachment to the bike so it wasn't nearly like selling my Tacoma last month but it was still a bit of a Rollercoaster. I'm just glad I can actually get a little something back out of it now instead of taking it as a loss. And I got a $600 lesson that people are assholes.

Nope, best I can assume is that someone riding it got pulled over for an expired trip permit with no plates and they had the title and stuff on them. Whether that was the guy that scammed me or not, I have no idea.

Certainly not the way I expected the whole thing to work out.

Thank god for heated grips and a heated jacket liner. Rode the bike up to a soccer match tonight because it was 60° and predicted to only go down to 38° on the ride home. Coldest temp on the 90 mile ride was 25°.

@4x4Runner Do you have an iPhone, and if so, any problems with the BMW Connected app only recording the first parts of rides and just cutting out randomly? Never had any problems with it in either BMW until I switched from Android to iPhone.

    None... yet.
Found out that my ski bibs fit nicely over my pants and knee armor! Between that and my heated gloves, my new commuting cut-off temp has dropped from the low 40's to the low 30's. As much as I enjoy driving the truck, using one gallon of gas per day vs. 4-5 is wonderful! When I ordered my gloves, I told my wife they'd pay for themselves and, with current gas prices, I think they've already done so... :bananadance:

David, I knew the name seemed familiar but like I said I haven't met him yet in person. I looked back at the standings from some events I have ridden in like some of the Team Strange Grand Tour events and that's where I knew the name from. He and I have both participated in some of their events.

I have had issues with it connecting to the bike before and after long rides it dropping and picking up. Not sure if there are errors that pile up in the BT connection and programming that’s causing it or what.

What was on there before? Those look to be the same ones as my 1250R, I figured BMW would've used the same setup across the various 1250 models.

On certain models they went with Haye’s brakes with a BMW branding. There is a recall out for them to replace the front calipers. The dealership finally got a set in for my bike so they got swapped out.

welp...... if all goes well........ bringing home that tiger tomorrow. $6k w/ 6k miles and a top box. I'd prefer a 2015, but I think I'll enjoy a week of riding next week and like a $3k savings more than updated suspension and cruise control.

Finally got my BD S1 lights wired up and working with my SRCmoto dash panel. Went for a ride after but it was short since the winds were gusting quite a bit.
