Legit ADV? New? Tenere 700 probably, if $10k is "budget".

Used? Honestly man a DR650 is a great bike albeit dated (carb, 5 speed).

Your DRZ is actually maybe a hair better than the DR IMO but you're giving up a little on the highway with it instead of the DR.

The Wee is a great bike and used ones are still pretty cheap. My wife's was $4500 and it is fucking LOADED. Not true ADV though. But if you are seriously considering knobbing an SV then If consider a Wee... basically same engine but more world -ready out of the box.

Ive been thinking about Shinko 805 and these, but now leaning more toward these. Not too much more, and a more well known name. Friend who races dirtbikes, says the Shinkos are a smaller company, so maybe not as well supported. But everything is still up in the air. No decisions have been made yet.

Putting this out there if you guys know anyone with a Harley Softail StreetBob or Standard. I still have the Saddlemen Step Up seat from my old bike. Due to my lack of social media and not really knowing anyone local that rides, I’ve been having a hard time selling it. Craigs and OfferUp got me a bunch of spam but no real offers. If you guys know anyone let me know. Not opposed to shipping.
Asking $380 which is about $100 off a pretty much new seat.

this past Saturday marked the 1 year anniversary, as of yesterday she was just under 50 hours run time

one of the forks started leaking at around 5 hours.... really need to address the suspension at this point
some proper engine management would be nice, I dont mind leaving it bone stock and just adding a proper tuner for now
the bars are about .5-1" too short when i am standing up riding, need to fix that and would really like the low wide seat concepts seat
she really only sees pavement and sandy dirt here on long island so still havnt picked up a skid plate, but that and some fresh tires are also on the short list

Looking to get back on a bike, mostly for work as a DD and save gas, and looking at this 2019 BMW GS 310. Any owners of a 310 here or anyone know of anyone who has/had one and the pros/cons? I had a 2008 Yamaha FZ6 and thought it was tremendous fun. But i don't need a fast bike. Thanks

It’ll be a perfect little commuter for sure. I think small ADV/DS are underrated for comfort (and route options) when commuting.

Looks small, light, low, nimble, semi-reliable and I’m assuming affordable. Go for it if you have the cash. Keep in mind it won’t save you a penny on gas unless it’s free ha. But it will add smiles and enjoyment to your daily life, so worth it! Might pay for itself in a few years.

Yeh I know spending money to save it, as far as fuel is concerned, will take a while but this would be a long term investment for sure. It's a great placebo to take though..lol

I'd love one. I'm needing to keep costs below 5k on a bike though.

true, finding a used zero below 5 will be damn near impossible without a huge stroke of luck

An EV bike is top of the list. Zero just upped their range model wide I think too.

I want an Energica EsseEsse9 if I get an electric bike. It has a 260 mile range, way better than the Zeros. It’s also way more expensive than most of the Zeros.

Good to know, yeah I would say $4500 would be around where the budget would lie, a straight swap for the DRZ. I'll look into used v-stroms.
