@4x4Runner said he got 11k out of his anakee adventure tires. This is my first ADV and it came with tourance street tires.

Speaking of @4x4Runner, how do those Dunlop tires compare to the Anakee?

its also a tough question to answer because not everyone will ride their 50/50 tire in the same dirt/street ratio

How do you like both of them? I'm torn between the two for the next set. I've heard the Dunlop is not decent in sand which is one of the major things I deal with being in South Eastern NC.

Neither are good in sand as one is a 50/50 and the other the anakee is like an 80/20. They are both good for fire roads and trail riding. If you’re talking random sand patches then sure it can do it but if it’s mostly sand I wouldn’t want either. I would want a dirt tire. But you gotta pick what you ride more of on the street or on dirt or a little of both. The anakee is a great street tire and light trail riding tire. The Dunlop is a good street tire with a little better off road manors

for only 15 miles one way, any one of those oem knobbies will be fine... in my opinion at least
i think you will get much more year around use out of a dual sport living in NJ, as compared to a more dedicated street bike

considering the budget as well, for 5k you can get a pretty bomb proof dual sport

well, either way its better than a car

sure the more knobby the less efficient, but still beating the MPG for a cager by a long shit which is ultimately the point

if you want to maximize mpg, get a cvt 250cc scooter capable of highway speed :bananadead:

The Anakee adventures are a 80/20 tire and the dunlops are branded as a 50/50 but realistically are a 70/30.

little more vibration in them but grip in both dry and wet is comparable

Actually looks legit. I would buy it myself but I don’t like 3-wheelers.
