Lately i havent been keeping cars for more than a year. Hoping that will change with the truck. Especially since its paid off. No reason to sell. I do want to get a beater though. I miss manual. I miss my 5 lug, 2wd mini taco

It is so much more bike than I need. It handles the switchbacks with steep inclines like a dream, gets up and goes on the drop of a dime. I had it up to 110 in death valley, was 123.8º and it didn't care, there was more twist of the wrist if I had dared. Was loaded down with clothes for two weeks, camping gear and food too... still it didn't care. I have ridden it to work in below freezing conditions before, it didn't care (me on the other hand, did). It is reaching the milage to need a new clutch soon, guess that will be good time to justify a bike table/lift.

Would having a newer bike with cruise control instead of throttle lock be nice, yes. Having on the fly preload and preset riding types be nice, yes. But that is money I don't have and just more things to break that will be too techie for me to work on.

My wife has a 2007 Buell Blast. She loves it, but will need an upgrade soon. I already have her looking at a 1200RT or maybe a 650GS or an XR. I love that boxer motor, so it would have to be a RT or GSA for me. Next year all the boxer motors will be liquid cooled assisted. Which will make it even harder not to buy one.

I wonder if my wife would like something with a sidecar? Then she can haul two of the kids and I can take one. hmmmm....

If you run across any of those original 1100rt parts, let me know and I will take them off your hands. I have a 97 and my dad has a 99, between the two of us, I am sure we can put them to good use.

Lol. It happens, my bike is done to me pretty much so it's either I sell and upgrade or buy truck stuff or save money (which is impossible)

Truck phase 1 complete. Phase 2 is just beginning

I almost contemplated listing the bike just the other day. But I don't want to start payments over either..
