    the Nightster, the 48, and the 72 are the same Sportster 1200 engine, but blacked out (except the 72, which is chrome). The Iron 883 is a blacked out Sportster 883 engine. All versions of the Sportster.

    Then that explains why they all look the same, ha. He says it's a fun bike, but he swapped the throttle to the left hand before I got a chance to ride it (missing right arm)

    Well the first year he didn't have a front brake and rode twisties anyways. But now he has clutch, throttle, and the front brake all on the left hand. It's a pretty crazy setup.
