It could be something simple if it has been sitting for a while. The battery on my F4i started to go bad and after I replaced it the engine ran like it had a misfire in low rpms. Turns out that driving it around with a dying/weak battery caused the plugs to foul. Once I replaced the plugs the bike ran like a top. If the bike looks good and doesn't have any damage I would still try to buy it. Maybe you can get a better deal. Or hook me up with the guy and I will try to buy it. :D

I was talking about their branding and marketing more than their motorcycle design and evolution. But now that you bring it up.. something like $13,500 for what is generally considered an entry level bike sounds like a challenging sale.

The Sportster S looked cool, but it also looks like you are sitting on top of the bike/could bounce off at any time. I don't like the look of the new Nightster and the under seat tank

That's pricey for a sportster. I wasn't impressed when I test road one years ago. I was mainly comparing it to my mt07 at the time. It seems like they made some performance improvements, but I don't have time to watch a 30 minute video right now. I just got an rs660 for a similar price.

All my Harley’s were reliable. They only became iffy when I started changing a ton of motor stuff. Before that no probs.

Went for a few "brisk" rides on the Street Triple and quickly found the limits of the suspension... not the commuter/track day bike I was hoping for...

    IMG_1813.jpg

Debating at this point whether to put on the market (I think I can make a little profit) and go new MT09 SP/XSR 900 or just bite the bullet and get it set up with a fully adjustable shock and forks. Spoke with a suspension guy at MRP Motorsports and he's going to send me a couple of options...

Frustrating because I really like everything else about it!

We'll see. If I can get a nice suspension setup and still come in well under the cost of new? Hmmm, that'd be a tough decision.
