I only have 3 maybe 4 things left on my list for this year. Tires, high fender kit, baja designs fogs/mount/switch, and a fuse block for the lights. In terms of priority and cost - tires - probably ~250, fuse block - $90, baja designs etc - 350. Need the fuse block before the lights obviously, but I could order the mounts soon. I have some ideas. The OM bars are 1", so thats helpful to know

I have a soft spot for sportys. Ever since I wrecked my nightster I always wanted another one (not that monstrosity they’re calling a nightster now) The softail fits me way better because I’m tall and lanky so the taller suspension on the roadster was great when I test rode one a few years back. I’m just trying to justify a second bike that I can share with my dad or partner whenever I want company. I really should finish the Yamaha and sell it before I bring another bike in the shop. Haha. Damn my rational mind.

MT09 over the XSR, for sure. But I agree with Ghost, you should be able to source an aftermarket suspension set up that will suit your needs and still spend less overall than if you purchase a different bike altogether.

I tried, but the bank was smarter than me. That door never opened, but Honda welcomed me with open arms.. and I think Im happier for it

Going back to the playground with @iismatthew and some of his riding friends this weekend. I think a couple GS's, a KTM, and a WR250, plus me. No camping, but should be a fun time.

Interesting that you posted those together. Back in 2016 I was tempted to find a used XR1200 but ended up pulling the trigger on a new SV650 for the same money. I'm still enjoying the SV, more so with risers and a wider bar.

I was just going from what I found. I know @Doc Samson is looking for a 600cc+ naked bike that he can take to the track/ride spiritedly. @w.adventures bought @FreshOldTaco SV and rode it from Philly to SC, so they gotta be pretty comfortable. I know some of my friends have them for several years and take them to the track, so upgradeable.

I havent seen many XR1200s around lately, but they used to be pretty popular?

I have an S2 pro on my bike with the yellow lens and it’s plenty. I have a second one with a clear lens ive been meaning to add for the expo points but I don’t think it’s necessary.

I don't know how many XR1200 were sold but they gained a lot of attention when they were initially released. I like them because they remind me of the Buell S1 Lightning.
