Late night milk run! There was a lady in a parking lot roller skating, I was tempted to pull her around

We did a rainy ride one day at Lost Trails up in Dunmore. The initial getting soaked sucked but once we were soaked we had a blast the rest of the day. Like you said, you couldn't get more wet and seeing the rain coming vertically up the cliff edge was nuts at the one spot.

Reading your quotes and thought I'd mention the clutch camshaft. I dealt with a similar issue when I moved the cable attachment arm after pulling out my Rekluse clutch in my DRZ. I had the arm in the proper position but the clutch camshaft had rotated. So basically just pull off the cable attachment arm, rotate the shaft counter clockwise until you feel it stop, and reattach the cable attachment arm into the proper position. From there you need then adjust your clutch freeplay, but you should at least feel tension being put onto the clutch basket when you pull in the clutch.

    Another thread on it:

    https://www.thumpertalk.com/forums/topic/65558-clutch-release-camshaft/

Tonight I installed and aimed a new LED headlight on the Husky. Not bad looking for $100.

Will post better pics when my new non bashed and trashed handguards come in. Also how the FUCK do people ride without wrap around handguards? Ran my tight single track and almost broke my hand twice using a stock hand guard on my left side because I snapped the wrap arounds trying to bend them back into place. Like it might stop brush or some shit but the handguard would just bend when I hit trees and I was basically punching the tree.

Oh and DRZ is almost ready to list for sale.

New chain, sprockets, front and rear pads, fork boots, and side plastics. All that's left is to install speed bleeders and replace the fluid in both front and rear. Trying to appeal to the buy who wants a needs nothing bike, just get on and go enjoy it. Plus I don't feel comfortable selling anything that might be potentially unsafe.

    The stand is this one:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0093NMGJI?ie=UTF8

Which if your KLX is anything like my DRZ you are at or over the 300lb weight limit. The stand can lift the bike but mine showed clear signs of bending. The wheels were also shit. Also the "safety bar" bent and deflected so much that I would never trust it.

So I modified it to support the DRZ at least to the lowest setting. I mostly got this to be able to easily horizontally slide the motorcycle in the corner for storage.

I replaced the shit casters, made new base mounts out of 3/16" plate I had lying around, boxed the front of the base, and put a rib on the back for strength (I saw it started bowing from use)

There are stands out there that can support more weight but not be easily moved around or take the bike very high. So I took what I looked to be the closest fit for what I needed and made it better. Oh and the safety bar is solid titanium that I had lying around too. I really should cash that shit in though, I have like $600 in titanium holding up a dirt bike :anonymous:

THis video shows how well the improvements came out.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsmBojOu_-w

That's what happens when you jump from one project that was nearly done onto another one cause stuff came in and you were more excited for that :p I need to do a project cleanup/reset soon. Those nights are the best, throw on the IRC tire guy on the TV and crush beers while I clean my tools up.

I almost had one come home with me a few months ago. Seems like a solid platform (as long as you check the fuel petcocks are open) and a good value for money.

I'll be satisfied with $4k, but will list for $4800 since prices still seem to be around that range.
