So took a ride yesterday and it was a perfect day! Question though, cruising along at 65/70mph….hit a good bump in the road and it bucked me up out of the seat pretty good. It wasn’t a visible hole or anything, but a good bump. How the hell do you adjust for those? :notsure: I mean, had a car been in front of me, maybe I would’ve noticed them bounce, but no one was around.

If you can't see it coming............just hold on or stand up the entire time :D That's all the help I have to offer with that strange situation.

Yeah, I agree with @gixxerphil . When I can see a bump and can’t slow enough to prepare for it properly, I’ll at least lift my butt off the seat a few inches. That way your legs can absorb some of the impact and you can maintain control. Hitting speed bumps at speed means you’re taking that force right up your spine. There’s really no way to prepare for something you can’t see coming so kind of always have to be present and aware. Pretty crappy when you’re just trying to relax, enjoy a cruise and tune out for a bit.

as said before, I just lift my butt off the seat a few inches and let my knees take the impact. There's a few spots on my commute home where there's bumps in the road that are unavoidable, so I get plenty of practice

Just be thankful you weren’t on a Grom. I went over a pothole once and racked my balls so hard on the tank. Dang you little wheels!

"Little wheels" -- is that what they're calling them nowadays... Oh, you mean the wheels on your motorcycle. Haha!

I was making fun of a guy that had a moped the other day at work and my boss goes “you ride a moped” false! I ride the red rocket and it’s a motorcycle

I was having this argument at work the other day! We clowned on a coworker of ours for wanting a stepthrough Vespa, and he brought up that two of us bikers at work rode a Grom/Z125.

I don't know how to explain it, but there's def a difference.

I'd rock a Vespa, but the Grom is just a mini motorcycle in my book. The Vespa is a scooter :D

you can get vespas that are way faster than groms off the showroom floor in stock form.
just saying, 250cc two stroke vespas with no modifications are a riot on the streets, even with that grip twist shift gear selection lunacy

oh everything i see says the vespas are automatic transmissions.

i had a buddy in college with a 2-stroke P125. loved that thing. twist shift was a blast
