Got the Denali D3’s in hand
Factory KLR high beam + factory fogs

Denali D3’s, one spot, one hybrid.
The hybrid has a very sharp cutoff and is quite wide, but I think I’m going to run both in spot beam as the factory fogs do a pretty good job of putting out spill light.

This is a single D3 with spot lense, the barn is about 400 feet away.

I'm looking at buying a 2004 Buell XB12R Firebolt. It's the black model with the orange windscreen and gold rims. The bike has about 12k miles, is fully stock and looks to be in great shape. The guy was asking $4,200, I offered $3,750 and he came down to $3,800. What do you all think - is this a good deal?

Sometimes bikes with heavy hot spots really fuck me up in the woods in tight trails. Part of why I hated my halogen setup, the hot spots were everywhere.

Put the finished version of the tire changer to work:

Got the new tire mounted in 5 mins, it was incredible.

Since this is somewhat motorcycle related. I'm thinking of building a picture frame out of aluminum extrusion. Do you guys think the square or 1/4 round would look best. The pic is 33"x44"

My uncle owns a glass company, so that's covered.

I can't decide on the "finished" look of the 1/4 round or more "industrial" look of the square.

As a Buell owner I can say they're a lot of fun to ride. Bear in mind that Buell is now an orphan brand but there are still a decent amount of new parts floating around. Body parts would be the only issue so don't drop it. Keep in mind the fuel is carried in the frame on these models so inspect the frame real carefully. I've heard of a few where the accessory frame pucks were installed to cover minor frame damage so think about that when you inspect it. Wheel bearings on these bikes are something of a weak spot but it's just a sealed bearing so you can find them.

Thanks. I will definitely inspect those areas with a fine tooth comb. What are your thoughts on price? I'm seeing bike ads stay up a lot longer now and prices are slowly starting to go down, so I think the market is starting to stabilize somewhat. I just don't know much about historical prices of Buells to know whether $3,750 is a good buy or not.

Market can’t slow down fast enough. I have missed out on 3 pit bikes in the last week. All sold within the first 6 hours. At this point it is looking like I will have to wait until after Christmas.

I don't even know how I ended up on Etsy. This is the first time I've ordered from there.

Yup, I mean I guess it's priced "high" but not completely unreasonable for other ads I see.
