To add my $0.02 to the convo, my daily wear shoes for riding are the Dainese Persepolis. Don't think they make them anymore but they make the Metropolis, which is textile and suede instead of smooth leather, and has the side zip. Both have laces, but since they have the side zip you can tie it once, cut the laces short, and use the side zipper to put them on/off.

All my other casual boots/shoes have some way to secure the laces. Alpinestars Centre has a elastic band on the tongue to shove them in, as do my TCX Dartwood which are my waterproof boots. I'd recommend any of them for street riding.

And I thought the old CR500 was crazy. I'd like to ride one, but I just know i wouldnt tap its full potential. That's roughly 1HP for every 2LBS

I run the Dianese Atipicas on super hot days and they breathe really well. I can actually feel airflow through the tongue area onto my foot. Nice if you run hot like me. Look and Feel like vans with stiffer soles and collars.

My general riding boot from 32-90* though is my Icon 1000 Brigand boot and they are so dang comfortable. Def gonna buy a new set when these crap out. The laces frayed pretty quick though, so I relaced them with 550 cord and they hold up a lot better than the OEM super soft laces.

The boot size matches exactly as my regular Nike and Adidas sneakers. Roomy for me. My foot is somewhat wide.

The only reason I haven't bought the Atipica is because I plan to buy the Metropolis instead for the side zip lol.

The persepolis get air running through them really well when riding but when i'm not riding, the leather does heat up my feet pretty quick. I love Dainese though because the fit is spot on for me.

Buell is gone. Erik Buell has absolutely nothing to do with this company. Sadly his name was among the things sold at auction and this investment/development group bought everything up.

I wish them luck but it's not the same as the company I bought my bike from.

LOL, starting Fuell is hilarious corporate antics at its finest, after losing his namesake Buell.

i havnt, it was initially taken to a body shop and now is in the process of being transferred to my local ktm dealership, the dealership will do an evaluation and the adjuster will go there as well for their estimate/adjustment. I will try and get down to the dealer if possible to see it there. If not I will ask my sales guy at ktm to text me some pics.

    i was riding a 2021 ktm 500excf
