@EatSleepTacos i hope you love it out there and have fun but i also hope you get to ride in high desert and hard pack because I loathe riding in loose sand. I’d rather ride in snow

++++++111111 Single track woods riding >>> desert.... and this is coming from a guy who lives in so cal and has access to some of the best desert riding around.

Havnt kissed a cactus... but have punched one or two while riding without bark busters.... noooooo thanks.

    Loose sand sucks, agreed there.

Guess it comes down to preference. After my limited experience on some tight wooded trails, it’s fun, but not nearly as fun as hauling ass through the desert, hitting some whoops, getting some air, etc. Personally if I wanted to do some technical trails I’d just stick to the truck.

Anyone interested in a pair of Klim outrider pants from a few years ago? I've worn them probably a dozen times and they're in pretty good shape. Removeable hip and knee D30 armor. They're a 32 regular, which should be about a 32 inseam. They look and feel like a pair of double front carharts, with the knee armor sliding into the pants from the front outside. They're thick bois but real comfortable and don't really look like moto pants. You can still buy this series new, but I've heard they went to a thinner material. I really like them but unfortunately my interest in drinking too much has made them no longer fit and if I'm being honest with myself I'll never been a size 32 waist again haha. Didn't want to go with the new thinner, non-slide rated ones, so I ordered a pair of Klim Marrakesh pants instead.

I'd let 'em go pretty cheap

Man, I'd be so tempted if it weren't for my 36" inseam legs. I'm a 30-32" waist so it would have fit great otherwise.

Yeahhhh they’d probably be a hair too short. Here’s a pic of them on me from a few years back. I’m usually a 32” inseam and they were a little bit long when straight legged but a good length when my knee was bent on the bike.

I'm interested, shoot me a PM about them. Although my waist has also grown larger as I age I usually still fit 32" waists.

I was actually just explaining to a young guy at work today how getting promoted and making more money makes you fat. Suddenly you can afford good beers that have lots of carbs and calories instead of just old fashioned natty lights.

Lol I'm jaded AF by the south jersey deserts. Whoops for days, no elevation changes, and double track quad tracks. Way less fun than technical elevation changes, rocks, and single track that gets the blood flowing cause you have no idea what to expect around the next corner.

Sweet, I'll pull them out and PM you some pics tomorrow.

And yeah, definitely a change, for me it was from Busch Light to IPA's, although I still drink PBR too:rofl:

Cold damp rainy day here, it's been rainy all morning and is supposed to last at least half the day. That's a good thing as I'm at work and the rain will wash all the salt off the roads.
Hopefully I can take my new bike for a ride tomorrow.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Just stuck new batteries in the 250xcw and 500exc. Was gonna hit the trails and it’s been raining all night… this should make for an interesting day for some technical ridge trails.
Live the Kendra trials tire I have been rocking up here on the slick rock.

Mon a side note a local dealer called me regarding a Blue T7 for sale. Been eyeballing those super hard as of late.

Those single tracks look fun. I don't think my bad shoulder could survive having a dirt bike.

About 10 or so years ago I volunteered for a couple of stage rallies with NASA Rally Sport. They had just introduced the Rally Moto class, running adventure bikes on rally stages. It looked like a blast, aside from having to track tulip notes while riding.

just a couple of things tbh
65 degrees means all errands are done on the bike haha even went and got boba with the bike while doing an oil change on the ranger. And let me say doing an oil change on the ranger is easy but it sucks because of the damn drain plug location!! It shoots it into the passenger tire so now I have a mess lol

These are my new motorcycle boots. Maybe not what some guys like or consider motorcycle boots but perfect for me and my casual riding. I wanted a heavy duty boot that is comfortable and that I can walk in. These fit the bill, also trying to get away from the all black biker look. I'm a motorcyclist not a biker, lol.
The highlights. A good heavy duty work boot.
    20230326_094654.jpg
    Nice tall all leather boot.
    20230326_094705.jpg
Good sole for walking and a heal to help with placement on the pegs, and a steel internal shank.
    20230326_094716.jpg
I took the frilly decoration off.
    20230326_100409.jpg
They will get a generous application of mink oil to further protect and waterproof them.
As soon as I put these on I knew they where the ones, lol. Instant comfort and not to stiff to walk in.
They will work just fine with my modern classic triumph bonneville.
