Left the house Sunday morning it was about 46 degrees. Had a list of murals and a general direction. Saw a high of 66 degrees in the after noon. I hit this on my way home.

Guess I can finally call it broken in. Managed 17 more murals putting me up to 221 so far. Here are a few highlights.

The photo above is the 3rd in a series of murals painted to commemorate the Lincoln Highway. I believe there are a total of 12 following the road west. This is on the side of an old bowling alley near Chambersburg, PA. Sadly, it appears the bowling alley closed sometime last year and judging by the torn up parking lot I fear the building may be coming down. I'm hoping that I'm wrong as I really hate the thought of this old mural being lost.

217 miles for the day and just short of 3k so far this year. Not bad for living in PA.

BMW oil pan parts have arrived! Looking at the strainer I’m feeling better about my chances of not having grenaded the engine with clutch shards. It’s a pretty fine mesh. Just waiting on a jug of oil now, so hopefully this weekend it’ll all get torn down to see what’s going on and hopefully rebuild from there.

Just got home to a package from @spencermarkd with Navi parts and some awesome stickers!

    upload_2023-3-27_15-2-34.jpg

The stickers are going on my Givi cases to liven them up. I'm going to stick the tail tidy on the Navi as well tonight and look into the variator weights for tomorrow (CVTs are still like magic for me).

    Thanks again Spencer!

I know I'm a bit late on the boots discussion, but wanted to add my 2 cents.

I'm on my third pair of Alpinestars SMX-6 boots because I walk around in them so much! They're comfortable, have a hinged ankle, toe sliders, and shin guards for those pesky 70+ MPH rocks coming off the freeway.

Variators are an interesting thing. Assuming hondas CVT is similar to just about everything else Typically lighter weights will keep the engine in a higher rpm at a given speed... weight shape can play a role too. Weights should be cheap, play around with em for sure.

That got there so fast! Post a picture when you're done with the tidy, I have no clue how the stock turn signals will look with it and I'm curious. And pro-tip, put the bolts for your plate in from the back with the nuts on the front. The holes for the turn signals aren't lined up quiiiiite right and they bump into each other.

If you get lost along the way, I know a guy who did a video on it ;)

Tidy went on super fast! Your video was helpful to watch before I got started as well, so thanks for that.

I was able to put the bolt hardware through the front of the plate vs the back as the stock plastic bolts were short enough. I really like how sleek the mount looks, though I'm not sure I like how angled the plate is vs the stock one. I haven't tried the cargo net either, though I think I have the same one as you do in your video.

Thanks, it's just a Vortex Tab75 w/ Cherry MX Clears.

Nice day in the great NW so went on a 140 mile ride today. I now have about 440 miles on the ZX-10R.

I love the Navi! Super simple and fires right up and is great for small around town commutes. I would like a Grom more since it has a real transmission but for $1k I can't complain with the Navi.

I'm in NorCal (San Jose). Probably a little too far for us to do a group ride. :p

It fits, but barely. Wearing for at least 30 minutes as a test. :fingerscrossed:

    I love it.

Once I took off the visor it became my best helmet. Visor and 125+ don’t mix

Even around town it’s nice to not have the pull. It’s windy here.

It’s so much nicer noise wise as well than my previous helmets! I don’t need ear plugs on the windy highway trips anymore!
