That 250 class really hits home when you are talking about crossing the gap between beginner and someone wanting to rip, without overwhelming themselves at the throttle.
I however still want an old Banshee!!!

It’s a fun one for sure. There is another obstacle called “shoots n ladders”, it’s also a very technical series of ledges. One has to get their tire just at the right spot, or all hell brakes loose ;)

I am down for anytime really. If I don’t have a paid group showing up, count me in. As far as dates, just throw it out there, I can easily be convinced to roll out. My trailer and truck are always packed with my gear, so I don’t need a big heads up or anything. I ride every Tue, Thur and Sunday at various parks, so just let me know yo!

Also I wanted to share with all of you, should you ever want to start up a biz teaching Moto lessons for on or off-road. It’s worth your time in a huge way to register and become certified through MSF.

By doing so you open yourself to National expose as well as get connections with manufacturers to get demo bikes to use. Why spend your own money on bikes if the companies will loan them to you.

Bikes must be in working order when you return them.
I am going thru this process as we speak d so I will keep you in on the loop, should this interest you now or later.

Yeah, D3O is wonder material. I have no idea what that stuff is (like chemically I do), but that stuff is unicorn blood and adamantium.

Thankfully never had to experience it on the moto, but a lot of mountain bike padding is D3O as well and has saved me from making some serious scraps being way worse.

I live on Mt. Winter Star.
    1hr N of Asheville.
1 mtn peak N of Mt. Mitchell.

Smack dab right in the middle of the Pisgah National Forest.

You will shit in your helmet when you see where I live. It’s a compound my GPa built, when he was out of the Army. He was the real deal brass tacks, 3 star general.

I came up here my whole life as a kid, on holidays and vacation. It’s truly the most amazing place I have been, and feels like what I think everyone should experience.

This is my driveway and backyard :)

Certainly I have, and I have owned them in the past. However, the prices for used stuff these days gets very close to new. So I start looking at the all the other stuff. Like dry rotted everything that has to be replaced, suspension..etc.

These are customer rentals for a guided trip. So I like to have the experience feel top shelf ;)

These are what my forever home dreams are made of. We were down in Asheville/Mt. Mitchell 2ish years ago because we were considering an interim move around there before ultimately going west. Such a gorgeous area.

It definitely works. That’s what was in my pants and jacket when I got hit and I walked away with nothing more than a bunch of soreness and balls the size of grapefruits from the bruising.

Nice! I am a mtn guy as well. Went to college in Boone then lived in Asheville for 2 years after that. I am located in Yadkinville now (moved here for work several years ago). It is the closest I could get to the mountains without having over an hour commute.

Thanks for the info. I think I just need to take the bowls off and clean and removing jets.

The carbs were vapor honed and synced 300 miles ago but just got some bad gas or something cause the 2nd carb to leak pretty bad. This was done by a shop, but I’m gonna attempt it as I’m fairly inclined and have already fixed stuff the shop was supposed to do(well they did it but not the correct way).

Make sure exactly where your leak is coming from as well. If your 750 is anything like my 400 there are tubes running between the carbs to feed fuel from one fuel line to 4 carbs. At the center it's a T-shaped fitting taking the single fuel line then feeding the 2 center carbs. Each of those carbs will then have another short straight tube to fill the fuel bowls on the outermost carbs. The T and straight tubes on mine are plastic with a small O-ring groove and corresponding O-ring sealing the tube to the carb. Those plastic tubes can crack over time and the O-rings can split. I know for my 400 there was a guy on one of the SOHC forums who offered machined aluminum fuel tubes.
