No issues with shifting on the bikes I've ridden, but it does have a shifter impression. I kind of wish it had a shifter pad but I also like the worn look so I don't mind it.

I purchased these from HWK off an article recommendation for inexpensive pants with armor. I haven't ridden with them yet, but they fit nicely over my jeans and boots. I ordered my standard pant size. There are adjustable Velcro straps for the ankles, thighs and waist. Removable armor in the knees and hips. Since I haven't ridden with them on yet, I don't know how breathable or waterproof they are.

What are you planning on putting in the backpack? The three biggest draws for me of the T18 were the one giant main compartment that fits everything, the hypalon net on the front for shoving a jacket in if it gets nice later in the day or whatever, and the quadlock harness. I don't even use the waist strap and it stays put. I hate when a backpack is huge, but divided down into small useless compartments

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
The issue with anything big is overpacking. I used to carry a backpack, then realized it was causing me for fatigue than it actually was worth.
Now I roll with a couple Mosko setups. Larger panier racks for the week trips, and a smaller setup for the 1-3day. I picked up a tail bag, but ended up not using it as much, as I just strap my jacket to the rear rack.

We got any line backer size riders in the group?

I ask because I figured I would see if anyone wants my KLIM gear before I post it up on ADVrider.

I wear 36x32 or 38x32 pants and a XXL jacket.

I used mine to commute with until I got my Chrome Industries Buran III that looked a bit more professional than a bright yellow moto backpack haha

But totally agree. I used to tour with a backpack and the switch to the nomax tank bag with the built in water bladder was amazing for my comfort. Single day stuff it's that and a kriega tail bag (i think 15L?), multi day tours I have an advspec magaddan soft bag setup and will usually throw the tail bag back on too. Also still have a hard top box, but I got rid of my aluminum side cases a year or so ago.

I also did a 520 chain conversion and titanium hardware on any spinny bits. It's well worth it :turtleride:

Anyone wanting a built ‘18 250xcw?? It is built to shit and back, and has low low hours. It was my spare 2 stroke that didn’t see any races, only some practice. Bike needs nothing and will be letting it go for around $7k.

I am about to get my MSF certification and start up courses soon.
Don’t think I will be waiting on Manufactures to lend me Demos the first year so I am picking up a couple smaller bikes, like a 110-150cc class.

I am also leaning towards Honda as the have gone EFI on their small bikes this year, and for bikes that may sit for a bit, that is a huge plus.

Word. Glad to hear your diggin it. The EFI is huge for my application. We also traverse enough elevation change to warrant the EFI.

if you do end up with a crf110, before you even think of using it, buy and install a shift shaft brace
