 I do the same with my truck especially (230k miles going strong!) And the bike for the most part. I don't put miles on it quick enough to need to do much though.

Im going to be sending an oil sample to Blackstone with my next oil change though.

Ya, I mean if I was in the market I would for sure get one. But I don't think anything they updated is enough to make me (and probably many others) part with a perfectly good 3rd gen, for it. Especially same frame and engine. I was a little shocked by that, especially after all the wild rumors (crossplane, 3cyl, increased displacement etc).

    Here's mine.

My frame sliders from Vagabond Motorsports arrived today.
    http://www.vagabondmotorsports.com/products/yamaha-fz-07-2015-frame-sliders?variant=1557044673

I chose these frame sliders because, unlike all other frame sliders for the FZ-07, the Vagabond frame sliders bolt on by utilizing the OEM drain hole that is on each side of the frame. Other sliders require that you replace the OEM bolt that connects the motor to the frame with a longer one that a frame slider can attach to. I personally don't feel comfortable replacing an OEM bolt that provides structural integrity to the frame with a cheap aftermarket one.

You can see the hole for the bolt as well as the o-ring that prevents moisture and other debris from getting behind the slider. Took a lot harder hit than I expected with a mallet to get the o-ring on the slider into the frame.

Both frame sliders come with two threaded holes in case one gets damaged in a fall, etc.

Here is the drain hole that is in the frame from the factory.

    And the finished product.

I have a habit of doing both. I never lock my knee, so never really worried about the possibility of breaking my leg.

Took a Monster 821 out for a test ride today, pretty nice bike. It is still brand new so everything was a little stiff but man what an upgrade in suspension over the FZ lol, the power curve is a little different but that exhaust at idle is something else

Im hoping to be in Chicago next month so I can try out a MV Agusta Brutale 800

Soo sick, too bad its a 15. They changed it for 16, sooo damn good looking. Same changes were made to the dragster but this is a little more affordable

Instead of going for a motorcycle ride on a perfect fall day I did this instead. Was gonna get a shot with the bike next to it.

Went and rode the 250 with some other supermotos today. First time I've ridden it since I got the FZ-07. Felt completely gutless haha

Made me sad at first, but then we started doing stuff my FZ couldn't and it made me glad I kept it. Also got up to about 70mph on some dirt. That was interesting...

It will do 84 before it hits the rev limiter in 6th thank you very much :p

Just reminds me that I still need to get a 40T to get rid of the annoying 42T. Too low geared for anything above ~50 comfortably.

Now that you have an actually street bike you should put some dirt tires on the 250 so you can have an actual dual sport

Quite a few years ago, but I purchased this new in "98". Was a trusty steed for many years and had a few bikes between that and my 2008 R1 but it was certainly one of my fav bikes ever.
