Guy in local fb group took a Navi on a route in Costa Rica. He said it can do almost anything.

Been a while since I've tried to sell a bike. I forgot how bad it is dealing with flaky people on marketplace. Had one guy shoot me a reasonable offer yesterday. I accepted and we scheduled to meet up this afternoon at 5:30 to exchange payment and do the title work. He confirmed he would message me by 4pm if anything were to change and we need to reschedule. Around 5:15 I message him to confirm we are still a go, and he says he is still considering other bikes. I told him that is fine, but don't expect me to sell you my bike after failing to follow through with what you said you would do.

Another guy contacted me to look at the bike at 6:45 today. He got a little lost on the way, and was about 15 late, but at least he showed up. He brought this butch of a girl with him whose first words out of the car were that she had a turbo zx10 that she races and knows a lot about bikes. I was like, oh God, here we go. She tried to claim the bike needed a lot work including new tires, new brake pads and rotors (pads have 60-70% life and rotors have virtually no wear), and said that a 2006 with only 4,375 miles is bad because it hasn't been ridden enough and is more prone to problems than one with 30k miles. Next, she asked when the oil was last changed. I told her I changed it 2 months ago with conventional Honda 10w-30 and replaced the k&n filter than the PO used with an oem filter, which the manual calls for. She then tried to say that conventional oil is bad and that k&n is better than oem. She went to check the oil level and was like, this bike doesn't have a sight glass? I showed her where it is and leveled the bike so she could see that the oil level was smack in the middle of the 2 bars - which she said was too low. She struggled to get the rear pillion seat on and claimed the bike didn't have rear signals after I just told her they are integrated with the taillight. Lastly, she tried to tell me that the fairings are not oem. Both me and the guy that she was with told her they were oem and she still wouldn't admit she was wrong. She then proceeded to throw out a lowball offer. It was clear there was no point trying to call her on any of her bs, so instead of knocking some off of my asking price for new tires (they have good tread but date code is quite old), I just said we're too far apart and to have a good day.

I think I will just take the listing down and keep the bike. I don't need the cash and hate dealing with so many imbeciles.

I wear Skullcandy Dime wireless earbuds for listening to music and making calls while wearing my helmet. They are small and fit great without creating pressure on my ears. They have great sound quality for only $20. My wife says the clarity is good for phone calls as well, she can't hear any wind noise. I had a pair of black buds, but dropped one in some gravel when taking off my helmet one time and could find it, so I switched to a pair of orange and they are easy to spot. https://www.amazon.com/Skullcandy-D...ocphy=9009563&hvtargid=pla-1228982702131&th=1

Found out all the light smoke Puig double bubbles are blemished and they don’t produce them anymore :annoyed:they said the dark smoke ones are supposedly better but don’t know what to do.

I have the packtalk slim on two helmets and while it’s slightly thicker than the Sena, it’s still relatively low profile.

Revzilla is showing it as discontinued, I wonder if that means there’s a replacement coming soon in that form factor from Cardo

Cardo discontinued the packtalk bold and packtalk slim not that long ago in favor of the new freedom units. I found my second unit on Amazon as an unopened NOS that was severely discounted.

That's actually one of the other reasons I've never moved up from the old SMH-10. One large dial on the outside and one button on the back of the unit. I can work them even with my thick, heated gloves on in the winter. Sound quality for music isn't the best but that's what I have decent home equipment for.

Looked into those a little bit. Apparently the plastic they use gets brittle and cracks easily.

Skullcandy Sesh is what I use. SC always has great sound for the money, and while bulkier than other in ear units, still fits just fine under a fullface with plenty of audio.

Even took a phone call by accident once with a buddy and he said the audio was surprisingly good for being an earbud located mic jammed in a helmet. No issues with a short conversation.

just a couple of things tbh
dealing with buyers is always annoying... it was a massive pain when selling my tacoma and people trying to claim they knew more about the truck then i did... im now dealing with it again with my m100 trailer i have no real use for it anymore so id rather sell it and use that money in savings or on another bike. but the people ive been dealing with have made me want to keep it and let it just sit in my backyard... here soon i gotta sell a old Yamaha warrior 350 and i can already imagine its going to be a pain...
