    That's awesome!

Maybe she figures she's about due for a new ride, so she is helping it along?

In any case, are you going to get another stock mirror, or do you plan to upgrade to something aftermarket? If/when I smoke a mirror I plan on the Doubletake mirrors.

Her car only has ~82k miles so a lot of life left, but she’s also not a car person and doesn’t really care.

I just bought some mirrors for $20 off Amazon that look like regular replacements.

To be honest I’ve never had an issue with the stock ones.

Not about issues, but the fact that they fold under impacts and I don't have to replace them. Purely a personal preference thing.

That blows. I dropped my Versys 4x. Once it starts, there’s no stopping it.

To make myself feel better about dropping the Versys I bought myself another car this morning.

    upload_2023-7-16_12-54-13.png

(Just kidding, this was planned for a while, now I'm just super paranoid about parking the Versys next to this car).

((Also I am a terrible person, dropped the bike on my wife's car and then kicked it out of the garage).

Should I start a thread for it in General Automotive?

carrier is 36 lbs, bikes gotta be 275ish, it’s 240 dry stock. Took a bunch of stock shit off but added non stock shit too so evens out maybe. I’m sure the longer hitch adds some more leverage but still better than running an extension with two pivot points vs one to isolate

    Oof never fun.

I dropped my bike in my work parking lot a couple weeks ago because I was running a bit late and forgot to put the kickstand down before hopping off. Caught it and was able to set it down softly but still irritating.

Didn't get any riding in this weekend since my pup was recovering, but he's doing well. Was hot as balls anyways so I'm not too upset. Now to hold off on purchases for a while since it cost me a clean $2k to get his tooth extracted. Fun times

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Rolling out for about a 5hr ride down south. About to melt my face off..wish me luck ;)

Got the clutch installed on the bike yesterday and I thiiink i got the play set correctly? Idk I’ll take it to a buddy who is good at it this weekend. But rode it around yesterday in the 90+ degree heat (pretty awful) and encountered a z125 and a r6 the 125 was a 13 year old that was just out having fun on his bike haha. The r6 kid (was like 20 lol) just got the bike and oh boy! Loads of issues already with that thing. He followed me to the gas station and we were chatting and his bike refused to start his battery was dead but it was brand new? So had to run home and get the cables to jump his bike real quick but I found an oil leak on the top end and both forks leaking heavily and it sounds like the valves need adjusted it was very slappy sounding (could Be wrong on this one but a friend use to have an 06 r6 and it sounded like that before valve adjustment) . Told him it’s best to go home park it and take it in somewhere to have it looked over.

Seems odd the R6 had that sound a valve adjustment cleared it up. Those valves get tighter as things wear, not looser so valve noise is not often a sound you hear. Cam chain tensioner is a possible weak spot but maybe when they adjusted the valve they had to manually cycle the tensioner and that cleared it up? I replaced the cam chain tensioner on my first FJR for that reason. Was starting to hear cam chain noise from the left side of the engine and early bikes like my 2007 it was a known weak spot.
