The freecom was quite a bit more expensive then the pactalk slim when I bought it and to me I didn't see the benefit for the extra $100.

Earplugs when on longer rides such as traveling or IBA rides. Music when solo, intercom when Dianne is with me. Don't use earplugs when commuting to work or quick trip to store.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Last time I listened to music on the road I was blind sided by a 17yr old wielding a Tahoe. Cut the bike into 2 pieces.

Strangely enough the song I was listening to was by The Green “She’s A Good Vibe Killa”

So I posted up in the Versys FB group about my exhaust issues and one member is shipping me a used stock one for $115 shipped. It's in much better shape than any of the other ones on eBay so hopefully it will work and I won't be riding such a loud bike around anymore.

My "adventure" bike. When you live on a mountain far from the blacktop road it's a adventure to ride. :D

I assume that its a hard tail and that would be a rough go on a back road.

No, it's a Softail model. It has a pivoting swingarm attached to the frame with dual shocks hidden under the frame. It's still a bit rough up here on these 4x4 roads at my cabin tho, but not as bad as a hard tail. Once I get down to the blacktop roads i have a blast with it. These winding WV back roads are fun to explore. Lots of little towns here in the Appalachians. And I can ride miles & miles before seeing another motorist, gotta watch for wildlife tho. Much more relaxing to ride here compared to my old riding area when I lived back in Baltimore.

I ordered side bags from KTM Twins and their confirmation email was kinda funny …

It's happening! Your order is on the way

Your parts have been gently taken from our KTM Twins shelves with sterilized contamination-free gloves and placed onto a satin pillow.

A team of 50 employees inspected your parts and polished them to make sure they were in the best possible condition before mailing.

Our packing specialist from Japan lit a candle and a hush fell over the crowd as he put your parts into the finest gold-lined box that money can buy.

We all had a wonderful celebration afterwards and the whole party rode perfect 12 o’clock wheelies down the street to the post office where the entire city of Escondido waved ‘Bon Voyage!’ to your package, on its way to you, in our private KTM Twins jet on this day, Mon, Sep 18.

I hope you had a wonderful time shopping at KTM Twins. We sure did.

Your picture is on our wall as “Customer of the Year”. We’re all exhausted but can’t wait for you to come back to KTMTWINS.COM!!

    That's so interesting lol.

I always ride with music, when I'm on spirited rides I end up completely tuning it out while focused, rather than it being a distraction. I'll go through a twisty section, then hit a straight, go back a couple songs and not even realize how many passed.

Can't do podcasts though...I simply don't absorb pure audio mediums. In one ear, out the other.

Who’s out riding today? I am headed back up to TN about 1.5hrs from me. Dealership that gave me the smoking deal on the helmets and jerseys.
They have a CRF125 big wheel coming in, and with the fuel injection it’s a hard one to beat.
This will allow me to have the small wheel and big wheel, for various seat heights.

Certainly does! I had a 8mins commute when I was the an art director at Turner. Got there via my RC51. If anyone has heard one run, then you know there is no better sounding motorcycle.
I know it’s a a serious statement, however the RC51’s vtwin may have been the most finely tuned monster I have owned.
The 1290r D sounded amazing as well, but that Honda was insane.

Back in the early 2000's, my buddy had one. We took 6 bikes to Road Atl for the AMA race(before the liter bikes were allowed and 750's were the norm). He got his tank signed by Nicky Hayden. At the time, I was on a GSXR and a huge Mat Mladin fan, so I got his :D

I had every intention of riding to work this morning. Wanted to put some miles on my Buell so I got that out, geared up, closed the garage door and when I turned the key on got the awful clicking sounds that tell me the battery is too weak to start it. Opened door, pushed bike back in and grabbed truck key since I'm now running late. Will throw te3nder on it and hope to ride later if I have time.

I can't believe they're not offering the HRC colors :( That white/red/blue was my favorite. I also read that they detuned the US version
