It BLOWS MY MIND how good JIS bits and screws work together when their philips counterpart is so easily stripped.

The case is too small to fit sockets in there, but I just have these under the seat as well:

I left my neighbor use one of my JIS screwdrivers once to break loose some screws on a set of Japanese bike carbs. He'd never heard of them before and had the screws almost to the point of destroyed but we managed to remove them with a proper JIS screwdriver. He ordered a set of his own that night on Amazon.

Can you link an example or two of what you'd recommend? My results include a set of 3 screwdrivers for $50-85 and I just think that's nuts.

I really like Vessels. I have the Impacta but the Megadora is also nice.

So, quick question. How does everyone deal with overly aggressive drivers? I don’t mean the inattentive lane changer that decides to merge into us and is genuinely sorry once they realize the errors of their way and all is good. I mean the tailgaters that ride our asses and seem to be overly aggressive towards us.

I run a go pro and intsa360 so I usually download the video and stills of the offender and submit them to the dmv and state police but it seems it all falls on deaf ears. Even people with CDL’s.

I don’t like vandalism and destroying people property but I’m more than understanding of the whole taking a mirror thing riders do.

I don't engage, ever. 3000+ pound car vs a 500 pound motorcycle means you'll lose every time. If someone's on my ass, I'll move over and let them pass, or if they're tailgating in heavy traffic I'll split lanes and put a few cars between us.

I generally do the same and move out of the way and let them through for the same thought process.

Fortunately enough I haven’t had someone so aggressive they go out of their way to make my life difficult like I’ve seen on YT.

I have had people squeeze me while lane splitting in DC and generally have enough room to move around them or make it through. Worst I’ve ever experienced was a park police officer on the interstate swerve into the middle of the lane to cut me off. I had enough room I could maneuver around them but that one pissed me off.

Does this thread actually have motorcycle photos in it anymore? ;)

I haven’t been in here for awhile but had to scroll back 5 pages to see any. I’m so disappoint.

I usually just try to put as much space between us as possible. Accelerate, change lanes, take the next exit then hop back on the interstate behind them, or even just take a turn and alter my route. As stated in another post 500 pound bike will always lose to a 3k or larger car or truck. Additionally with road rage incidents becoming increasingly violent there's no where I'm heading to that's worth dying over.

Sending photos or video to authorities might make you feel a little better but I'm not surprised that nothing comes of it. In the case of CDL drivers I'd submit it to their employer, you may have better results. I had one occasion many years ago where a car salesman in a car with dealership markings and plates almost took me out. I kept repeating the plate number to myself until I got to work about a mile down the road then wrote it down so I wouldn't forget. I stopped by that dealership on my way home a few hours later and asked to speak with the manager. Very calmly explained the situation and gave him the plate number. Of course he knew which salesman was issued that vehicle and in front of me called the guy over and chewed his ass out. Now perhaps that was all show and for my benefit and they went drinking together afterwards but it sure didn't look or sound like it at the time.

Probably about 15 years ago or so I had someone tailgating me so I pulled over to let them pass. Than the decided to brake check me multiple time. Remembered the license plate number and called the cops. They guy ended getting arrested and was charged with reckless driving and a dwi. I never provoked the guy in any way. Guess he just chose to mess with me that day. I was just trying to mind my business and get home safely.

reality of the ride. Calmly go about day and avoid dummies as much as possible. Bad actions might be their fault, but Defensive riding is our responsibility when we choose to ride. Wish it wasn’t so, but that’s the reality, best to accept it.
