    That's great lol

Yup! Are you back to toy shopping or still working through house projects?

Heard that, the DRZ is a great bike tried and true but things spiraled quick when I started lusting over a 701. Then you said I should go for 1290 now I'm a full blown KTM lover :)

my window shopping career is always flourishing, looking at toys for sale is a life long disease you know...

the kitchen is now 99% complete, just pending all the cabinet and drawer knobs to come in and get installed

bathroom is roughly 75% complete, unfortunately had an issue with the wrong shower door being installed... so now in the process of having a custom door made :boom: safe to say that I am at the point where blowing my brains out would would be wonderful :violent:

luckily I do have the little crf110 that sees weekly use and the yfz450 for those late night rips around the neighborhood :spy:

shit never ends though, dealing with a women and a house is a nightmare, she wants a kid and I want to buy my child a pw50 but yet I cant even get my xr50 finished up so idk :sadviolin:

could be worse though right? still have the car and the taco so I can only blame my own dumbass for spreading myself too thin
(I say spreading myself like its a bad thing :anonymous: )

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I enjoy a good spreadin’ BRRApppplpl (plpl is from the backfire I can’t stop on the 500, it’s nasty)

That sucks, I don’t recall the dates for wrecks I have been in. Living in downtown ATL for 20years and commuting on a bike was nuts. It’s most certainly not for everyone; and I don’t recommend it anymore in that city. Sucks but people don’t care for others’ safety whatsoever down there.

I've seen how some of those fools rip around on sportbikes. Atl definitely isn't my cup-o-tea to drive in.

House shit is stressful, kitchen and bath on their own are big projects so I can imagine both at the same time has been rough. But sounds like you're getting close so that's good.

Spread too thin... I can relate to that feeling and that's with no kids in the equation. (shout out to the parents here) Can be hard to keep things in perspective sometimes. Riding definitely maintains sanity.

And speaking of your YFZ found a pic of my buddy's when I was digging through old pics earlier (these were probably taken on a flip phone ha) I gotta see if he still has it

Jumping quads is insaine! When I go to the off-road park and watch the quads racing on the track, it always amazing to me how effortless they make it look.

Now I can jump a dirtbike no problem, but a quad is something else. I can take on a little air with mine, but I ain’t gonna launch it by any stretch.

im not huge fan of hanging them, mostly to avoid something constantly pressing on the inner foam/ liners
have you considered some cubbies? then you can stick gloves inside as well
    random google pic for example

Maybe that’s what I need is some proper cubbies mounted on the wall. Just need these things out of my way. They are everywhere.

Doing some (unneeded) work on the tenere. Mainly because I can't leave well enough alone, a little bit of science, and fixing a fuck up.

Pulled the tank to make my science experience a little easier. I noticed that the intake air temp sensor (which reports temps to the dash) would get insanely hot and heat soaked while idling at lights / moving slow as the air box sits right above the motor (which in itself isn't a big deal) but the IAT is located on the bottom in a VERY quiet airflow spot of the box. This leads to it taking a long time to cool back off once moving again. So I am conducting a little experiment to see if it makes a difference. I made a harness extension with the proper waterproof plugs and relocated the IAT into an area that will report a more accurate intake temp. I also put some heat reflective tape on the bottom of the air box to help with heat soak. Will it change anything likely not but I love tinkering. Unfortunately no pics of airbox mods.

Next up. Clutch things. Tenere forum reports stating that the clutch pushrod, center ball and lifter wear into each other which could lead to clutch not fully disengaging. I wanted to pull the side case to check things over and was like well if I'm taking the time may as well replace the parts as they are all of 50$. Nothing really needed to be replaced as wear was absolutely minimal (I'll get pics of the replaced parts in a bit), but greasing up the various wear surfaces on the new parts and sliding o ring make me feel all warm n fuzzy and make clutch pull a smidge easier n smoother.

    20231110_202023.jpg

For an 8yr old bike with 26k miles, everything inside I could see looked factory new.

Annnnnd the fuck up. A while ago I fueled up the bike with a gas can and I didn't realize the gasket of the cap was still in the spout, went to pour gas in, and bloop gasket drops down into the tank. So... I'm going to use the fact the tank is already pulled to pull the pump, fish out the foreign object (which hasn't caused any issues in 2k miles), but also replace the fuel pump prefilter.

If you do this in your garage, and leave face shields open it makes the perfect bird house. Ask me how I know....
