Yeah modern motors are pretty darn good as long as you keep fresh oil of the proper spec in them.

    Happy bday @BkerChuck

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Awesomeness!!! I would say have a brew for me but I don’t really drink.
Maybe eat some hot wings or BBQ for me!!!

I give the fun to ride to the chic. Ease of maintenance to the bike. Tough call on which one to keep

Met up with @FreshOldTaco in Oley for the Turkey Pro Nationals, the nations oldest slow race or so they claim. Here's a few pics from the parking lot:

A few shots from the competition. The course is a roughly 100-yard-long rectangle about 6-8 feet wide laid out in the grass on an area with a slope and 2 trees in the way. 2 riders start off in opposite directions with a judge walking alongside timing them. Riders may not put a foot down but if their balance is good enough, they can come to a compete stop on the course. The rider who can take the longest to complete the course wins.

Obviously there is no minimum age and any motorcycle us allowed.

    Even a Zero electric

There were an odd number of entrants, so they left this little girl take a second crack at the course. She didn't win but was a crowd favorite.

I have a Kriega R25. It is an excellent backpack. Perfect size for commuting. Only downside is that it is not waterproof. I don't ride in rain so it's not a huge issue. I would have gone with the R22 or R30 if waterproof was necessary.

    Happy birthday Chuck.

Love the CB1100F. One year only model (1983). Wanted one very much. Never found one for sale or at the dealer so bought a 1984 CB700SCE (aka Nighthawk S). Mine was the red/black. That is a bike I wish I had kept.

Also loved my 2006 FJR. A little over 30K miles mine joined the failed 2nd gear club. On an FJR second gear is good from 20mph to 90mph so it gets lots of work. With the amount of torque the FJR has the dogs on mine could not cope any more and it would momentarily pop out of gear when it hit 4,500-ish RPM at full throttle. Very consistent behavior. $2,400 to fix (2014).

So, if you ride one and it shifts fine and it holds 2nd gear through a couple of full throttle roll on’s you should be good to go (fingers crossed).

Happy birthday @BkerChuck ! Glad you got to spend it at a show.

I love slow races, way harder than they look. Especially on grass.

I end up taking with me:

    - 15" laptop
    - Lunch + snacks (just a tupperware + bars)
    - Thermos with coffee
    - Change of clothes
    - Climbing shoes/chalk bag

I do ride in the rain so I need a waterproof backpack. The R22 might be too small so I want the R30.
