Yup. And everything grape flavor tastes just like it to me. Jolly Ranchers, popsicles, kool aid, etc.

That's the worst part, it didn't do anything! It just tasted like melted jolly ranchers.

    And there's light!

(I still haven't aimed them yet...)

I took the harness that I had made for the Versys apart and resoldered it for the Super Tenere. This is what it had looked like on the Versys (I tapped into the headlight using an H4 extension):

    upload_2023-12-4_11-40-28.png

One harness was extended and one was shortened since the wires go to the right side of the Super Tenere. I decided to separate the two light harnesses for modularity, and made a harness with an Add-a-Circuit to tap into one of the fuse box circuits:

    upload_2023-12-4_11-41-45.png

For the plugs, I found these XT30 plugs from my RC cars fit perfectly through the tiny slot in the back of the fuse box/battery panel on the S10, so I terminated all the harnesses with XT30s. I've used these in crawlers and bashers that get dirty and muddy and have gone underwater without any issue so I'm not worried about using them here:

Thanks! I'm very nitpicky about clean wiring if I can help it.

It will look even nicer when I get the auxiliary plug and remove the Add-a-Circuit.

People like you simultaneously piss me off and impress me with your ability and willingness to tinker with electronics. I got scared off from anything electrical after I fried my WRX ECU swapping out the dome lights for LED's...I refuse to touch anything electrical nowadays past plug and play/heat shrinking connections.

All that to say, good for you because I'm too scared lol

keep up with the tech and there isn't much else you're missing out on with future generations in my opinion lol

That's sweet! Similar goal here. The triangle of light for visibility and yellow/amber to pop.

Sidenote: Am I the only one that sees one of these little guys when looking at the headlights of the ST?

I would blame that maybe on the LEDs you got? As long as you keep your polarity correct, it's generally quite easy. I've got years of experience from soldering RC cars, but you can pick that up quite easily.

Now diagnosing electrical issues and reading diagrams is something I can't do and I hate it.

Agreed have to assume you're invisible... most cagers are not looking for motorcycles and fail to see us too often. You can't rely on bright colors but I think they do help, even the few pops of yellow/orange make me stand out more than the guy behind in this pic...

It totally does! Especially if you have the little upper lights on. Looks like the big set of eyes and the little secondary ones on either side.

Same. That and I'm the guy that gets shocked putting in a fluorescent light bulb.

Nope I thought the same. Also think similar whenever I see those Triumph Street/Speed Triples

TBH idk if it was the LED's I bought, the ECU, or a mix of the two. It happened to some other owners as well, both with LED dome lights, and other accessories frying it out. They replaced it under warranty thankfully, so a cheap lesson all things considered.

    ugh

    please god no
