Replacable sole would be nice especially if you are wearing through them often.

f800gs, lighter and not as bulky as the 1200gs but very close in capability. I want something that I can commute in but also need room to hold work clothes and hard hat, and possibly more if I'm staying a week somewhere, So its one of the few bikes that look okay with panniers. $309 for a full year of full coverage, even if I keep the FZ ill save $20 a year on the total insurance lol.

Still looking at some other bikes but the insurance costs keeps me away from a bunch of bikes

I've done a mod or two
Makes sense, I grew up with only casual riding. I ride my old ass sport bike like a cruiser. Up until recent I didn't even wear long pants and jackets. That's what growing up on the back of a Harley in Santa Cruz will do to you haha.

So more on the adv side? Get a KTM 690 and throw some bags on it :p
I always wear jeans, but will definitely squid without a jacket. KS gets soooo hot in the summer.

Not bad, service interval looks nice. Insurance only looks to be $50 more than the bmw, so thats a possibility

Not sure but I do wonder why the Daytona wasn't revamped. Big Ennis Burdette would agree it should have been

Put new tank pad and triple tree decal on. Both were factory accessories. Only place I could find them were from U.K. sellers. I also replace the little "S" emblem on the triple tree too. When I bought the bike the original emblem looked like it was dented with a screwdriver. It was a pain finding the part number for that damn emblem.

Happy with the way the decals and everything turned out!

Found this pic of my first bike. This was taken around 1996. It's a 1989 Honda hawk GT 650 NT "bros"
In this pic it only had chafong racing clip ons, rearset pegs, and two brothers exhaust. Eventually it got CBR600f2 forks and brakes, and a CBR900rr rear shock. Miss that bike :(

Yep, they were ahead of their time. But was expensive and underpowered, so not very popular. Hard to find these days.

hell my NC30 might be pushing 70hp and that's with a $9k price tag after importing it but I enjoy it more than my cbr600rr, and gsxr750. Most of the hawks that I come across have been raced or abused but who knows maybe some day.
