I've been sitting around since last Thursday without riding, and I haven't been able to do the oil change or tires either because I can't take it for a spin before working on it.

I've been keeping myself busy with other projects, though.

Oil change can be done cold no problem. Actually a bit easier as things all drain down to the sump.

Tire's... just bring em inside to heat up!

It's been nice enough down here that we haven't had rain yet...some was projected today and I took a chance...so far it's dry.

Tomorrow and Friday are supposed to be more likely though, so we'll see.

I'm getting antsy about the R3...I know it's only really been like a month since I dropped it off, and I'm still waiting for parts but dang am I impatient lol. Also just ordered a full exhaust, ECU flash tune, and some other components for it to get thrown on as well. This thing is gonna be one nicely spec'd out track bike.

Oil should always be warm to help thin it to drain it out easier. That's not the issue, it's the heating up of the existing tires at half pressure like you suggested that I don't want to do. I could take the wheels off as well and throw them in front of a heater but that will take forever.

I had the year before (1985) and that was my first street bike. Lots of good memories on that machine. Getting a brand new bike at 18 was pretty awesome.

Took the Klx out for a ride today. Put about 50 miles on it. Went up to the logging roads and took it pretty easy. I made the bike feel even slower being about 25lbs heavier than I was when I had the 22. Still not sure about mods yet. Would like different mirrors, handlebar risers.

Just for the record - I'm in California as well and am also sitting inside due to the rain.

It's all good, though, wife is on vacation and I'm working from home this week so good time to binge watch old seasons of F1.

I believe it! I have a 140cc on my '67(ish) Trail 90. Going 60mph on skinny 55 year old wheels is terrifying.

I used to live in Mukilteo, love the whole Puget Sound area, riding there and being there…..except for dark season. Go to work in the dark, work all day, go home in the dark. I loved motorcycling there ~4months a year!

My CBR1000 I had when I arrived there. My FJR that replaced it. Unfortunately, I have no CBR pictures from my riding.IMG_4374.jpg IMG_4436_3_1.jpg IMG_4430.jpg IMG_3838.jpg
