Valid. I got mine in the yard sale section missing the carry bag, so I ended up with mine for cheaper than that link, buying MSRP it's def a little more.

 

You'd most likely need a leather 1 piece or two piece suit that zips together.

If I get both bikes up and running I'll drag both to the track and you can ride the Daytona as a backup! I've been busy with the '91 Pickup. I've bedlined it finally and am going to install a front wheel chock that will hopefully let me haul two bikes.



I also got a helmet attachment for my Peet boot dryer so I can dry out my helmet:

 

You do, lol. Both of our schwinn cruisers are springers with 2 speed kickback rear hubs.
These are our bikes at a show. Mine is a 70s typhoon. Hers is a 53 spitfire, both redone as customs.

The typhoon, powdercated, .105 gage spokes. Just a neighborhood cruiser.

This is my Betty and her Betty. When I built the bike I named it the Betty. All powder coated. .105 spokes, original 1953 frame and rims.

Those are very cool! For several years I tried to find a Buell/Paramount mountain bike frame. Erik Buell actually designed one of the first full suspension frames for downhill bicycle racing and from what I've read they're pretty rare. I've seen pictures but never one in person.

 

Got a busy rainy day ahead with several items to get installed on the KLX. Tail tidy, front turn signals, battery tender quick connect, and Amazon folding levers. Fingers crossed I can get it all done just in time to get some sunshine!

Second place plaque finally arrived from the GLMC Grand Tour I did last year. I had a great time doing it and saw a lot of cool artwork sometimes in some not so cool neighborhoods.



Very cool 3-d printed plaque with base in silver and black for my second place finish. 1012 murals in 9 months in 6 states covering over 10k miles.



Finisher's t-shirt and a second place kickstand puck printed in silver with some bright pink paracord so I don't forget it or have to get back off my bike to pick it up.

I've already registered for this year's event which involves points of a compass and towns, cities, villages, townships, boroughs, states, etc. with those points in their names. This means anyone playing in North or South Carolina or Dakota and West Viriginia get extra points for any locations in their home states. I'm working on plotting locations in Basecamp now so as soon as possible I can go bonus hunting. Snowed here today so the only thing I operated was the snowblower.

Yep, Plaque and plaque stand, kickstand puck are all 3-d printed. Nicely done IMO.

 

As a serial 3D printer, that is awesome.

 

Hopefully my shirt shows up soon! I like it. I sent Korey my updated address from when I originally registered, after I moved, fingers crossed he actually updated it. Probably won't participate on this next one though, not that many ordinal cities or towns in my area, plus I'll have an infant..

 

I saw on the discussion board there was one person he had one person he needed to locate but it wasn't you. I'm still working on a list of locations but finishers status I can get easily enough. Congrats on the upcoming offspring!

 

Just took a look at the rules. 20 points to finish and G L M C-starting towns getting a bonus point.. hmm.. maybe I could make it work and get finisher status again. Definitely won't be making it to ND, SD, WV, NC, or SC for the triple scores.. but hmmm.. might have to spend some time mapping.

Obviously I've only been looking at my own area to start but PA has a lot of townships and boroughs and those count. I have East Manchester and West Manchester both close to my home and they would each be 2 points under the rules so 20 points to finish and earn the t-shirt isn't that tough for me. Other areas will be different. I don't foresee a 1000 plus point score from me this year though.

 

Hmm, I have a welcome to South Carolina and North Carolina sign 1.4 miles from my house… nah too much work

 

Just got back from a cold 15 mile ride on the KLX. In stock form the bike felt lethargic and slow, now even with the 15t front sprocket it pulls so much better in the bottom end and really gets going way better. It feels like my 22 did. It is loud though so I ordered a high flow quiet baffle with spark arrester from Barker exhaust. That should help with that. Otherwise bike runs great and I am very happy with it.

 

Looks like I will be doing a fork service, valve check pretty much full tune up on a 2019 KTM sxf 250. It belongs to my nephew. My brother said they might make a day of it and come help/watch/learn how to do it. Nothing like passing on knowledge to the younger generation of riders.
