I'm sure i'm doing something wrong. I did what i read on the internet. Wear them around a couple times before your ride. Did that. Rode one time and instantly hated them because they wouldn't loosen up.

My issue is the type of people that buy those and how they take care of their bikes

Anyone use anything other than cycletrader or craigslist to sell a bike? Trying to sell my 09 848.

are you trying to shift by moving your ankle or your hip?
any riding boot that let you shift with your ankle wouldn't be very protective imo.
I shift dirt bikes by lifting my whole leg.
This also goes back to why I run the longer shifter you didn't like a while back.

Slip on doesn't bother me. Both my bikes have high end slip ons. I just usually find that the people who go cheap on parts tend to not keep up on maintenance. When I ran the shop there were so many people who didn't know you had to clean and lube your chain

Yep, I snapped one on my Bandit about 300 miles from home, sucked, did some damage to the case. New bike has no chain!! Shaft drive. I'm officially old.

ive snapped a belt on my Harley.. but it was partially my fault, because I trimmed the belt guard, and it snapped. Only locked up the rear at about 20 mph.

Take them outside and spray with a garden hose to get them fairly wet. Walk around, and squat, bend, stretch like you're stretching your calf kind of. Take them off and bend the toe with your hands, etc

Mine were incredibly stiff out of the box and I got them pretty well worn in just doing that without even riding.
