My best friend would love if I bought a Ford, he owns:
    Ranger
    Raptor
    SVT Cobra Mustang
    Edge
    Explorer
    Bronco

No issues besides the Exploder spitting spark plugs, hahaha.

This is why I try not to get hung up on brands. Not saying I'd buy a Jeep lmao.

In the moto realm I really like the idea of getting a Honda. Reliable, albeit boring I'm sure. I'm cool with that though. Kinda curious about that new Himalayan 450, but don't really know much about the brand, and I think that's their first water cooled motor. Looking forward to reading about it as it rolls out in other countries, and hopefully here between now and when I buy something, lol.

stay far away from the ranger it is a pos... the truck overall is nice but its trans is garage and will fail before it hits 100k... loads started failing on the forums and there is now class action lawsuit on them because of the 10r80... he may own that many and i feel bad for when they fail on him since ford isnt covering it.. only one person so far got a partial cover and that was still 3k. i tried American vehicles and they can stay where they belong in the salvage yard. but hey thats me.

My Sister's raptor had the transmission rebuilt, drive line replaced, clockspring replaced (cruise control changed volume), engine ate itself alive at 8400 miles, engaged 4wd at a stop and snapped an axle, and finally AC failed. Ford replaced it with a 2 year newer truck. No issues in 11 years. I get where you are coming from, but sometimes we're just unlucky. Hopefully whatever you have now treats you better.

holy hell thats a lot of stuff wrong! yes it does appear that way sometimes but still hold that the ranger i wouldnt touch (i know you are not looking into one lol) since i wasnt the only one with the issue. im back into a 2nd gen tacoma now something i know and can trust a lot more then the ford so a lot happier now.

You won't be disappointed. He does great work but being a one man show it does take some time. Anxious to hear your thoughts once it's done.

I’ve been driving a F450 bucket truck (rear wheel drive), for the last 8 years. I say go for it!

That being said.. I’ve been considering a 250 for a personal vehicle. Also found out recently that the factory e-locker in them can be used in not just 4-low, but 4 high and 2 wheel (granted speed is limited to 20mph. Before it unlocks).
I find this as pure awesome. Sometimes you just need that extra oomph, without needing to go 4-low. all manufacturers should be doing this in my opinion.

To get even crazier…. Im even looking at a regular cab, 8 foot bed. Yeeeeah boyyyy! Going back in time with the present.

Rained like a sumbitch last night and this morning. (~1.5in total). And looking ahead at the forecast we are slated to get 5-6in between sat night and Monday :(. I had taken today and Friday off to go to King of the hammers but a few buddies backed out then the weather wasn't looking good.... Sooo

Luckily this afternoon cleared up decent and got on a ride to the beach (~70mi total) canyons were nasty with water mud and debris.

That lil chair is pretty neat folds up quite small and fits in my top box with tons of room to spare.

I was going back and forth trying to decide but think it’s a worthy investment. I saw one he did on a Duke 390 and it looks awesome much better than anything you’d get off the shelf. And yeah I’ll have to wait a bit he’s booked into April but it should be ready for our ride around PA

Hahahahaha.... We do get a little bit of weather in southern California during the winter... My problem has always been "it's gonna be sunny tomorrow/next weekend" and forgo a ride to do something else... Then of course it's gloomy, foggy, cold, raining the day I had planned to ride. Haha.

So today, I took the bird in the hand!

Definitely get your seat shipped out ASAP. He does some ride in seats so they usually take him a full day while the customer hangs out and waits. Last year when he did mine he told me he had over 120 seats sitting there to be built and each seat takes a full day so you can do the math.....I've been tossing around dates for our Iron Butt ride around PA. What would you think about the Friday of Memorial Day weekend? Leave out early morning hours say 4am Friday morning to be done by 4am Saturday giving us each almost 2 full days to recover.

What's that about a locker in 2 high with traction control off?
