When I hear knobby I'm thinking like Kenda big block or TKC80 with lugs and horizontal spacing. Those look closer to 80/20 than knobby in my book, but I am intrigued by them for my next set

Yeah I thought about going with like the maxxis knobby, but got those k761's, went through two rears and a front over 6k miles and never needed any more than those K761's for any of the offroading I did on the grom (its small overall tire size and lack of suspension - even with my fork mod netting 1in of extra front suspenion - really doesnt lend the platform to offroading well). Those K761's gripped quite well on road too, was able to drag peg on the lil grom.

just a couple of things tbh
So went to a dealer I was told is good to ask about the ninja 500 and got lots of info about it and when it will show up! But they are also a big time cf moto dealer and love them and I was able to see a 450ss in person and man is it nice!

But they also sell another China brand... The kayo and sadly after talking to a few that currently own them and talking to the sales reps they are not as good as people online make it seem... They are okay for the price but are behind and can be better if they did better work with the bikes so I was advised to not get one and just get a Japanese bike instead. And this is with having one on the lot marked down to 3500

I went with the maxxis knobbies at first and they weren’t that great on the street. I then put some sticky street tires on it and am way happier. I am tempted to throw the knobbies back on though since all I use it for is ripping around the kids dirtbike track in the backyard. I need to get out and camp more… Groms are the perfect bike to have for surburbia camping!

Y’all were almost in my backyard! That’s prolly my favorite campground in Alabama. If it had been nicer weather, I could have rode over and harassed y’all for a bit.

Ride the Klx for about 20miles until I got too cold. Ended up melting off my rear blinker due to the exhaust. I had a set of smaller ones left over from another project so I installed them. I also installed the front 14t stock sprocket and took off the 15. Just want to see what it feels like.
Then it has warmed up a bit so I took out the monkey. I have more fun on that little bike.

Put a set of those on a sports bike and tear up those dirt roads.

Next set give the K761's a try. Make sure to flip the front for proper tread orientation. (Tread on the front tire at the top of the tire will make a "point" backwards, the rear tires tread pattern will point "forward" at the top of the tire)

The lil bikes sure are fun! If I didnt have the XT225 i have just now started to ride id be happy with the Grom, but the grom's novelty has worn off.

I do like that for street use.....just don't know how good it'll look with knobbies.........and I'm honestly about looks for this particular bike. I found a white SP for sale with 800 miles at 3K asking price.

    haha true true.

not a bad price but i could never justify a grom unless it was 2k... since i have no real use for one

I'd probably jump on it if the seller would take 2.5K. She's had it listed for a good bit.

Those Papio's are neat looking minis! that CL is actually a decent looking feature rich bike, love the center up exhaust, keeps things super narrow!

Also note the CL's use of Kenda K761 tires!

    Are those Honda clone motors?
