I'm honestly not sure. It's 126cc motor with Bosch FI, along with 6 spd trans.

This place also has some upgrades :D

    PAPIO 125 – TeamMSC (teammscparts.com)

Exhaust is cheap at $52 :rofl:from Aliexpress

The SS and CL are the same with the exception of bars and bodywork

Oh yeah you might be, that motor in the papio looks to be quite similar to old early 2000's KLX125 design.

We've got a CFMoto dealer in town. I may ride over and look next Thursday when I'm off. It's the same dealer that wanted over 8K for a Rally OTD. If they still have those markups.......they can keep it

The picture is from last season. We haven’t had enough snow to ride this season, so I’m coming at you from a spot of jealousy seeing you enjoying that beautiful white stuff with your quad. I’m coming up on the half century mark, and I can’t recall a winter like this. I’ve seen some short seasons that make a person question their sanity for spending so much money for something that has such limited use. But I don’t ever remember a winter where I haven’t even been able to leave the yard. Maybe it’s time to spend even more money on the sport and buy a sled trailer?

My biggest question still is for the on-road portion, is a 450 enough or is it too big of a compromise? I went on a trip to Yellowstone and spent hours blasting across Montana on I-90 at 85mph (speed limit is 80 through there, no one goes 80) and even my F800GS hated it at 350cc's larger than the 450. I know that's not everyone's use-case, but super slabbing is pretty common getting to/from ADV rides.

I'm sure it won't be that great. The top speed is listed at 112.....but I'd imagine it'd be screaming  I personally prefer to stay off interstates.........which isn't too hard down here :D

If you are just using it for camping why not just get a small older XR of CRF. This is my 2002 XR100, picked it up for $1,000, put a rear tire on it, new air filter, oil, grips, bars, rebuilt the carb, and a good cleaning. I'm probably in it $1200.

I want one that is street legal just in case. I don't want to have to breakdown the RTT and pack up the truck to make a store run. Plus, I'm not sure if it's legal to ride them on the services roads in the parks around here. We can't tag dirt bikes in AL.

This build has always stuck in my head, back when the groms were still pretty new. It was a TW member IIRC but it's been a while

I already have a dirtbike with street tires so why not a street bike with dirt tires? (insert meme about my last 2 brain cells)

Got it, my son and I had a couple Groms a few years ago. Just didn't ride them enough to justify plates and insurance. The XR is perfect for campgrounds, swap meets, and as a pitbike. Those air cooled Honda singles are pretty much bulletproof.

I had a XR50R when I was 5 and went to the XR80 around 10ish. Never an ounce of problems out of those.....that I didn't cause with wrecks  I checked my insurance and it's only $75 a year for full coverage(as a single, but should be cheaper when I add it to my other one) with the tag around $27.
