Take a look at the Harley Lowrider it has mid controls for a more "normal" seating position.

I have a Rev It rain jacket similar to that and it's surprisingly easy to stuff them back in the bags they come with. Mine packs down to about the size of a 12 oz. can and the Rev It rain pants I just got last year about the size of a Pringles can maybe a touch shorter.

Refreshed the forks on the Africa Twin before the weather gets too good that I won't want to do it lol. Was pleased to see no excess wear on the uppers (so far at 27k miles) since there was a number of people reporting issues with coating etc on advrider. I rotated the uppers 90 degrees anyway just in case. Still need to decide on what rear shock to go with to replace the OEM. Excited for the trails to dry up.

I rode to work this morning in a light rain and 50 degrees. Sunny and 60's when I leave though.

I rarely intentionally set out in the rain to be honest. I've ridden in it quite a bit when traveling and once I got into long distance rallying it became more of a necessity. I've been on rallies where it was just absolutely gorgeous weather leaving PA, sunny, temps in the 60's or higher and as we moved along following our route just simply ran into crap weather with no way to avoid it but to ride through it. For hours.....Finally got to our rest bonus hotel in WV, still in the rain. Stripped off all of our gear, which even with rain gear over it was still soaked, got hot showers then slept about 5 hours hoping it would pass over us. Got up in the morning, still about 200 miles from the finish and it was still raining. Turned out it was Hurricane Matthew making landfall and every rider on the rally showed up at the finish just sopping wet and dripping water everywhere.

Sadly, I've likely done more miles in the rain that some riders cover in 10 years. I've even done Tail of the Dragon in the rain more than once. It's way more fun when it's dry.
